226. Alessandro's Party

Edward pulled a chair and sat in it, but his eyes were still glued to Chelsea's table.

Elora noticed Edward looking at another woman, then rebuked him.

“Ehem! Can't you just stop looking at her for a second?” Elora quipped.

Edward immediately turned his gaze to Elora in panic. "I'm sorry, I just—" He looked confused, and his mind suddenly went blank.

“Elora, I—”

Elora rolled her eyes as she looked away from Edward. She was angry with her fiancé.

“You're really annoying!” Elora complained.

Max turned towards Chelsea's table to see the face of the woman who made Edward keep staring at her.

"I think Elora is prettier than her," Max muttered, then his gaze returned to Edward.

“Elora, please forgive me. I saw her by accident, but I don't know who she is.” Edward continued to persuade Elora, but the woman didn't want to hear it.
