229. Edward Got Arrested

“We almost died because of them!” Elora exclaimed, glaring at Edward, who had forced her and Max to follow the taxi.

Edward was lost in thought; he was still surprised and didn't say a word. Elora looked at him irritably.

"I think it's better if we go back now," said Max. Without waiting for his cousin's approval, he turned the steering wheel to leave there.

Meanwhile, Leon looked at the taxi's rearview mirror and didn't see the white car following him.

“It looks like they managed to get the car to stop chasing me. Good job," said Leon, satisfied with the results of his subordinates' work.

When Leon arrived home, he immediately approached Elena, who was asleep in bed. He sat on the edge of the bed while looking at his wife's tired face. He hesitated to wake her up, but Leon had no other choice because they had to get ready to go back to Auckland tomorrow morning.
