268. An Accident

Elena's body felt weak. Her decision to continue attending the party was apparently not the right one. During the 30-minute on the road, she just leaned her body into Leon's arms while the man rubbed her head.

"Elena, you better rest at the hotel later, and I will attend the party alone," said Leon.

Elena just nodded in resignation to her husband's orders. She couldn't insist on attending the party because of her condition.

"When we get there, take us straight to the nearest hotel!" Leon ordered his driver.

But instead of responding to his words, the driver just remained silent. Leon looked at the man in surprise.

"Did you hear me?" Leon asked in a louder tone, but there was no reply.

The car was on an incline, and ahead there was a road that went down quite steeply.

"Sir …." The driver's voice sounded stuck in his throat. He didn't look okay.

Leon and Elena were shocked. Elena was scared, but Leon tried to calm her down.
