Ch 6: The blood on his sword

Standing before the Queen of the wood elves Marcus offers her and her kin lives in exchange for the two female humans.

In truth, he's using this card play to fool the Queen into giving up the two females without having to make it difficult to think she was saving her people from the man who was paying him.

Marcus could care less what happens to these elves once he reports back about them.

“So what is going to be Queen will you agree to may trade or will you be the one to cost the doom of your people's lives.”

“Hard to answer you while you hold one of my people's heads in front of me. It makes me want to do the same with yours, I would like it to return to us as that man should rest at home.”

Marcus looked at the headless elf head in his hand for a moment then threw it in the direction of any wood elf that could catch it.

“Are you happy now Queen, can we get on with our business?”

Sineat couldn’t believe how cruelly her father's head was just treated like trash.

She wanted deep to stab the dark heart of this monster even the Queen shared this feeling but kept it from showing.

“I should have you killed for that.” the wood elf Queen said in a threatening tone.

“Like I give a shit you're not talking to someone normal.”

“Watch yourself, you are alone in our home where there are many of us and only one of you.”

“You act like that is something I should be afraid of. How pathetic. Let me make a point here. You may have numbers, but it is a skill that counts in this matter.”

Hearing that come out of this person's mouth was causing the Queen to dislike more and more.

“So what is going to be them which will end in your death and your people or the wood elves' people.”

Marcus was willing to give her only a minute, nothing more to further waste his time among these wood elves.

The wood elf Queen thinks upon it as someone who must think about her people first.

Yet looking at the two human females making eye contact back at her seeing within those eyes of a person seeking help.

Their queen turns back to Marcus standing up from her throne.

“My role as the queen is to my people and mother earth, I will gladly trade these two over to you, but that is not how we wood elves do, we are better than that, not like humans that act in such a way.”

“So that is your answer Queen,” Marcus asked to make sure.

“Yes I do not make this decision to protect these two humans, but to stand strong, true to who we are and not weak to think of allowing whoever you serve to push us around.”

“There is one thing you're wrong, long ears, I do not serve anyone, but only myself.”

Right then Marcus made a move taking out the small crossbow firing an arrow that flies at a high speed that gives no time for anyone to dodge as it enters the head of the wood elves queen.

This killed her right away as her body fell lifeless hard upon the ground where all the wood elves that were there couldn’t believe what had just happened in front of their eyes.

That didn’t last long as one of them yelled out a word.

“Kill him!.”

All of them charge at him as Marcus quickly switches to his sword on his back unleashing it out to aid its master and to taste blood.

Blood indeed was spilled as every wood elf was cut down or stabbed through by his hand.

Spilling these beings' blood upon the mother earth.

A monster who has no intent on showing honorable mercy going on for only a few minutes.

Now quite a few wood elves were standing staring at Marcus whose sword and he was covered in their kin's blood.

He brings his sword to his face to taste the blood on the blade enjoying it, but almost forgot the reason for coming here.

Marcus turned his attention away from the remaining wood elves to the two humans that he paid to hunt down.

Queen Edith snaps out of the fear of what she was witnessing turning to her daughter.

“Run Arlene!,” she tells her daughter who is running for her life right after listening.

This time Marcus does not seek to allow them to get away for a second time charging first to strike at the daughter who was running.

Yet again the same female elf Sineat plays the role of getting in his again getting close this time to use her blade on him.

Sadly Marcus has the interest to play around with her as he dodges her sharp blade that was aiming at him,

Then stab his sword deep within her stomach for only a moment until pulling it out and pushing Sineat to fall to the ground like others before her.

Now with her out of the way Marcus gets back to his job, but again another gets in his way.

“Please, leave her be and take me instead there is no need to take her life as well.”

The girl's mother begs while grabbing hold of him hoping it will buy time enough for her to find a place to hide.

“You think this will save your daughter from me,” Marcus said in a cold tone.

Where then he pulls out again the small crossbow to fire another arrow that easily pierces into the back of Arlene's head.

“No!.” Queen Edith yells after seeing with her own eyes.

That woman runs up to her daughter holding the girl's body while crying in agony at losing the only child she had in life.

Her death quickly came as well where Marcus slices off the woman's head from the body.

Now the job was done, the only thing left was to kill the leftover wood elves and bring the heads to the client.

All that was ready and there was no longer a reason to stay around here as the only thing left was death and blood.

“Damn,... You monster….. I won’t let you leave.”
