"Who the hell are you?" He asked, grabbing the shapeshifter by his collar.
"I'm Romeo." The shapeshifter replied as if stating the obvious.
"You aren't Romeo so shut the fuck up." Alpha Luca said, pulling him out of the driver's seat.
"I'm Romeo wolfie, don't you recognize me," The shapeshifter said, still pretending, which further infuriated Luca into punching his head against the dashboard of the car.
"Who the hell are you?" He screamed at the imposter.
"I'm Romeo." The shale shifter kept insisting.
"You aren't Romeo." Alpha Luca started and got a laugh in return.
"You're wiser than they say you are a big bad wolf." The shapeshifter commended realizing his cover had been blown off by the Alpha.
"What the hell are you doing here?" Alpha Luca asked, pissed at the fact that he was almost fooled.
"Pretending to be Romeo I presume." The shapeshifter teased wiping off the blood on his head which has now spilled over the dashboard of the car.
"What the hell." Alpha Luca growled, throwing a punch at his jaw.
He kept dealing blows and punches at him until he rendered him weak and threw him into the back seat.
He got into the driver's seat and drove back hurriedly to the store Romeo went into. He found a pissed Romeo pacing left and right in anger.
"Get in the car." Alpha Luca ordered.
"Where the hell did you go? I only wanted to get something from the store." Romeo complained.
"Can you suspend your whining and just get the hell into the car," Luca said.
Romeo picked hints of anger from Luca's tone and without wasting time, he got into the car and almost jumped back out immediately at the sight of the blood on the dashboard.
"What the hell!" He exclaimed.
"What have you done, damn wolf? Who did you kill this time?" He questioned.
Alpha Luca gave him a boring look before gesturing he looked at the back seat.
"Shit." Lord Romeo exclaimed.
"Why the hell does that have my face?" He questioned in shock.
"What kind of a question is that vamp, we are in the shape lifters realm, what do you expect?" Alpha Luca pointed out.
"He tricked you into believing he was me." Lord Romeo said suddenly understanding why he hadn't met Alpha Luca where he left him.
"Yes, he did and almost succeeded." Alpha Luca replied, starting up the car in the direction of his realm.
When they got back to Alpha Luca's mansion, the shapeshifter was immediately thrown into one of Alpha Luca's prison cells.
Alpha Luca and Romeo didn't waste time torturing the shapeshifter to get questions.
They poured hot water on him to revive him as he had fainted on the drive back, immediately he woke up, Alpha Luca started questioning him.
"Who sent you?" Alpha Luca asked with a dangerous scowl.
"That's none of your business big bad wolfie." The shapeshifter replied nonchalantly.
"Who the hell sent you?" Alpha Luca asked again, snapping the shape shifter's neck sideways.
The pain from his neck didn't deter him, he kept eluding Alpha Lucas questions much to Alpha Lucas's anger.
"I see you're one hell of an idiotic Loyal bastard." Lord Romeo who had kept quiet throughout Alpha Luca's questioning finally spoke up.
"And that Loyalty of yours wouldn't save you now, or would it?" He asked.
"You know you can just tell us who the mastermind of this game is and we'll let you go." Lord Romeo said with a devilish grin.
"I can't tell you who sent me." The shapeshifter spat and Lord Romeo burst into a bout of loud laughter.
"You know if I was your master, I'd be proud of you." He said making circular motions around the tied shapeshifter.
"Your loyalty is highly commendable but that won't help you right now so I'll advise you to start talking." He added.
"I wouldn't tell you who sent me." The shapeshifter yelled and Lord Romeo plunged at him in split seconds taking both the shapeshifter and Alpha Lucas by surprise.
Lord Romeo was on the verge of draining the shapeshifter dry when Beta Ryan barged into the cell.
"What the hell has come over you, Romeo?" She screamed, pulling him off the shapeshifter.
"His death wouldn't get you answers, idiot." She spat.
"And that's is non of your fucking business." Lord Romeo yelled heaving heavily.
"Why must you always be and act like a monster?" She asked irritatedly.
"And why must you always butt into my business?" Lord Romeo replied, getting riled up by her insults.
She never had anything good to say about him, she was always on his neck with negative words and insults every time and he was tired of it, he was only tolerating her because she was Alpha Luca Beta.
"This isn't about you alone, Nightwalker." She screamed.
"This is not just about one or two realms, it's about…" she was not done talking when a pissed Alpha Luca shut her up.
"That's enough Ryan." He growled, keeping her shut.
"Do you two even realize where you are? Can't you both just act like the sensible people you should be?" He spat angrily.
"Shouldn't he be the one you should warn?" Ryan started.
"He's the impulsive one here, he almost killed our source of information." She pointed out.
"That's enough Ryan, I think you should just excuse us." He ordered much to her surprise.
"Fine, I will excuse you both." She said storming out in anger, her anger was transferred to the poor cell door which she almost broke.
A few minutes after Ryan left, Alpha Luca sprung up from his seat with a treacherous scowl on his face.
He walked up to the shapeshifter and stood menacingly before him.
His eyeballs were turning a bright red indicating just how angry he was, his nails were also getting longer than usual causing the shapeshifter to shiver in fear.
"I'm giving you yet another chance to keep your life, who sent you?" He growled.
"I can't tell." The shapeshifter replied, shivering in fear.
"That's progress, you won't tell or you can't tell." He asked moving behind him.
"Please, I can't tell." The shapeshifter who was already drenched in sweat begged.
"Now we are begging, aren't we?" Alpha Luca taunted.
"I'm going to count to three, and you better start spilling before I do my worst." He warned.
"Please I can't spare my life but I can't tell who sent me." The shapeshifter pleaded.
"One." Alpha Luca said, indicating he has started his count.
"Please Alpha, please I beg you, spare my life."
"Two…" he counted bending down to reach his ears.
"Three." He said before plunging his hands into the shape shifter's chest and making close contact with his heart.
"That's more like it." Lord Romeo commended laughing at the almost sheen face of the shapeshifter.
"That's just a tease." Alpha Luca smirked.
"Would you start talking now?" He asked not taking his hands away from the shape shifter's heart.
"I will, I will start talking." The shapeshifter pleaded amidst tears and groaning.
It was as if Alpha Lucas knew just the soot to get him to talk, the pain he was feeling at the moment was too much to even put loyalty into consideration. It was like life was almost snuffed out of him.
"I was the one who stole Cassie's coffin." He started catching lord Romeos' attention.
"I was sent by my boss to disguise as Lord Romeo and steal the coffin." He said amidst groaning.
"Who is this boss of yours?" A furious Romeo asked, hearing about Cassie's coffin got him tense.
"My boss…. My boss…. My boss… is.." The shapeshifter stammered.
"Who the hell is this boss?" He yelled.
"My boss is called Mario." The shapeshifter finally said.
"Who is Mario?" Lord Romeo and Alpha Luca asked immediately.
"I don't know, all I know is that he is Mario and he sent me to steal Cassie's coffin and also distract you from going further into our realm." The shapeshifter explained.
Alpha Luca and Lord Romeo shared a look as if asking each other questions with their eyes and digesting the information they just heard.
"Where can we find this Mario?" Lord Romeo asked after a few seconds of silence
"I swear, I do not know." The shapeshifter said with pleading eyes, he knew his life was at stake, he knew the Alpha could rip his heart out any moment in time, he knew he was hanging in just a thin line and so he closed his eyes expecting just the worst.
And just as he guessed, Alpha Luca immediately ripped out his heart from his chest.
"We haven't gotten answers." Lord Romeo said dejectedly.
"He is no longer of use." Alpha Luca states still holding onto the still-beating heart.
"He could have told us where he took Cassie's coffin to." Lord Romeo whined.
"He doesn't deserve to live after all he has done." Alpha Luca replied.
Ryan stormed out of the cell and headed for the main quarters where Alpha Luca's study is located. Nothing pissed her as much as how Alpha Luca reacted to the situation at hand. She was used to Romeo being how he is, but she didn't expect Alpha Luca to vent his anger on her that way. "What did I expect though?" She muttered to herself and chuckled. "Not like I am anything special to him, so why would he care about how I felt?"She sighed and a hiss came out of her mouth before she could even think it through. She had had feelings for Alpha Luca way before anyone could think about it. It's been years and she still does. That was why aside from being his Beta, she was always ready to defend him and to stick to his side in case of anything. Her feelings for him had grown through the years, and it was only hurtful for her when after all those years, the feelings still haven't been reciprocated by him. "All he does is shout at me and order me around." She muttered again and hissed. As she
In a room barely illuminated except for the burning candles around, was a group of seven people: men and women dressed alike. They were all dressed in black gowns with capes and were gathered around a table. The cabin was near a lake and was covered by a thick forest. The niche was as silent as a tomb except for the rustling of the leaves and the sound of the cold breeze romancing the lake.A young man of about twenty-five years of age walked into the room with his face slightly covered by a hat. He was wearing the same black gown as the members of the group. "The witch is here but she wouldn't step in.'' he announced, clearing out his gray hat. The people around the table greeted one another with congratulatory smiles upon the announcement of the witch's arrival."Bring her in." directed the man seating in their middle in an authoritative tone. On both sides were three people each. Both his hands were stretched forth on the table. About forty years of age, he is the leader of the cu
"I need that witch back here at all cost. She couldn't have gone far." growled the cult leader. "Not in her state" he added with a smirk. He knew she must be running out of blood and the herbs were possibly taking effect in her system."Look for her. She hasn't gone far." he confidently stated and moved towards Cassie. The men he had earlier sent to seek the witch nodded in understanding and made their way back to the forest. After the witch ran out of the cabin earlier, she managed to cast an illusion spell that lasted for a few minutes. When the men assigned to recapture her stormed the forest, they saw a space even though she was within their reach, covered by her magic. They assumed she had escaped and they went back to report to their leader. After noticing that the men had turned around, the witch stood up and continued running for her life. She ran for about two minutes and fell to her knees. She was very weak. She crawled to a tree and hid behind it.She held her bleeding l
Alpha Lucas sat wondering if he should take Fredrick's words for it or not. He knew how cunning these shapeshifters were and how easy it was for them to deceive people, he also knew he could be telling the truth and at the same time, he could be receiving them."We caught a shapeshifter the last time we were in your realm, I do not know whatever his name is, but he told us Mario sent him to Lord Romeo's realm to steal something of importance." Alpha Lucas said, staring Straight at Fredricks's eyes trying to detect even the slightest wave or flick of emotion indicating if he was telling the truth or not, but there was none."Mario sent this shapeshifter to steal the coffin of a loved one to Lord Romeo." He added hoping that Fredrick would finally see the severity of the act of the said Mario and extend a helping hand in finding him.Frederick looked deep in thought as if trying to understand what Alpha Lucas just said.Mario had already been banished from the shape shifters' realm havi
Lord Romeo stood there in fear as he stared at the figure before him. He had no way to explain the woman before him, but the fact that she had the appearance of his love, Cassie meant a lot to him as he stared at her.Could it be another of the shape shifter's tricks? He thought to himself as he walked closer to her, slowly. Deep down though, he still felt it was his actual Cassie. Aside from the feeling he had as he looked at her, he knew a shapeshifter of any sort wouldn't dare play with him in such a manner, right in his presence. She began to walk towards him and gradually, she also walked towards him although, slowly. Seeing what was about to happen, Alpha Luca immediately set to action and pulled Lord Romeo backward."Romeo, you can't trust this woman!" Alpha Luca exclaimed, a serious look on his face as he stared at Romeo. His face went from Romeo to Cassie and back to Romeo. "You can't trust her. And besides, it could be one of the shapeshifters, trust me, I know what I am say
"So, what are we going to do about this?" Hera asked. "We have to find him...and we have to do that fast.""How did this even happen? I mean when Romeo went missing, I understand that they would have caught him while he was drunk," Lord Romeo eyed him when he heard that, but didn't say anything, "but not Valentine. He hardly drinks and thinks twice about his decision unless he's provoked." Though Valentine was the calmest among the Trio. While Alpha Luca went on in his quest of beating the shit out of everyone who was crossing his path, and Lord Romeo went on 'living his life, you could find Lord Valentine in his study, reading a good book, or in his room sleeping. It was one of the reasons people underestimated him sometimes, because of his calm personality—until he proved them wrong. You could never tell his next move, or read his thoughts from his expression, that's what made him even more dangerous when messed with.Hera looked over to Lord Romeo, though he looked deep in thought
Cassie's eyes were glued to the dead man hanging upside down from a hook above like one would hang a game they had just won like he wasn't human, just some piece of flesh with blood. The blood from his slit opened his neck and landed on a bowl. She eyed the liquid substance as they brought it in a bowl to her.Cassie was still lost with everything that was going on. She wanted to see Romeo again, everyone scared her, she trusted no one, it doesn't matter the number of times her abductors tried to make her feel safe, she had seen them murder people like fowls, the only person she trusted, she could trust was Romeo. She would have gone crazy, except for the fact that she knew he was still out there, she just had to find him first. Once the bowl was filled with the dead man's blood, one of the hooded guys picked it up and brought it over to where Cassie was chained. He dropped it noisily before her. "Drink!" He ordered, but she spat at his feet instead."Get away you monster!""You're t
Cassie waited, counting on her fingers, till one hour had passed. The place was dead silent. It was finally her time to make a move. She couldn't stay there anymore, she had to move, and to do that, Cassie finally had to accept the blood being given to her. She needed it if she was going to escape, so she chose not to acknowledge the fact that she might currently be a full vampire at the moment. All she knew was how powerful she felt, such strength that she didn't know was even possible for a man to contain. For days, unknown to her abductor, she had been working on the chains they had her held with. The day when the guard had first struggled with her to drink the blood, unknown to him, a pin had fallen from his pocket. Cassie had gotten hold of that immediately. Her father had been a locksmith, so she knew her way around. But even though she could free herself, she couldn't escape immediately, she was weak. That's why she had waited, till this moment that she was strong. Also, it wa
