Part 5

A knock on the door instantly woke Michel from his long, comfortable sleep.

"Excuse me, young master. It is time for dinner. Young Master is requested to come down to the dining room immediately."

Michel stretched out his hand to cover his mouth after yawning so widely.

"Very well. I will prepare to come down." Michel finally said.

After giving an answer in a slightly elevated tone of voice. The sound of knocking on the door of his room was no longer heard by Michel's ears, it seemed that the personal assistant had really left there.

A long sigh came out of Michel's mouth. The man then straightened his body, sitting right on the soft bed that he never imagined could be on it.

Michel wandered his eyes, looking at the clock on the nightstand near his bed. It was more than six o'clock. It was dinner time for the rich, and of course Michel was not used to it.

Michel rubbed his face quite roughly. Everything that happened to him felt like a dream, being in all the luxurious mansions and having luxurious rooms in them.

Again and again, the man was still wandering his gaze to stare at every corner of his room that felt so luxurious, slightly smiling at being in a luxurious room that he had never had before.

Michel didn't want to continue being mesmerized. He stepped out to get a towel from his closet.

Visible, the arrangement of his clothes that have been neatly arranged there. Michel didn't even realize when his clothes were neatly arranged in a wardrobe that must have cost so fantastic.

Michel smiled bitterly. Being in this current position, makes Michel confused about what to do.

Whether he should be grateful for everything or do the opposite. Always feeling insecure and thinking that he never deserved any of this.

After taking his T-shirt and boxer briefs, Michel entered the bathroom in his room.

The words of praise and amazement did not leave Michel's mouth, the bathroom really made Michel feel even more amazed.

As promised, 5 more minutes passed and finally Michel walked slowly down the stairs in the mansion.

In his heart, there was a sense of cursing because the stairs in the mansion seemed endless. It really made Michel feel exhausted.

"Young Master? Why are you going down the stairs? Shouldn't you use the elevator instead?"

Michel furrowed his brow when he heard a voice reprimanding him as Young Master.

"Is there an elevator here?" asked Michel, who looked confused. The reason was, Michel's gaze was only focused on the stairs in the mansion. There was no time for Michel to realize that there was an elevator in the house.

Daniel nodded indicating that the man agreed to the sentence of the question from the Young Master.

"Right, Young Master. Ah, this is my fault. I should have invited you to tour and get to know the mansion from the beginning. But, let that be later. Come, young master. I will escort you to the dining room of the Alberto family."

Michel was silent. Wherever Daniel's footsteps took him, Michel would faithfully follow behind.

"Please, young master."

Too focused on observing everything in the mansion made Michel then not realize if he had arrived at his destination.

When he turned his gaze, Alberto was the first person the man saw.

"Sit down, Michel. Sit next to Dad."

Without showing any expression, Michel then walked over to Alberto. Sitting right on the chair that Alberto had prepared.

Michel's gaze then circulated to all the occupants of the benches at the dining table.

Previously, Michel thought that he would only be alone with the middle-aged man there. However, it turns out that there are new people whose faces are the first time Michel has seen.

The man looked confused, should he develop a smile on his face or just stick to his expressionless face.

"Do you want to eat Risotto? Or do you want chicken parmesan? Just say it, let Dad get it for you." Alberto said and managed to get Michel's attention.

Michel shook his head firmly and said, "I can do it myself."

Michel emphasized with his loud tone of voice. Alberto smiled, at least his son still inherited that assertive attitude from him.

"Eat. You have to replenish your energy that has been drained all day." Alberto paid more attention to his son who had long been missing from his life.

Michel, who was treated this way, did not seem to care about it.

In fact, Michel was more focused on picking up side dishes to fill his empty plate.

Without saying anything, Michel, who felt hungry, immediately devoured the food on his plate until it was finished.

It didn't take long for Michel to finish everything.

"You glutton."

Someone who was quite far away also seemed to hiss with glaring eyes.

Alberto, who was faithfully waiting for the completion of the man's meal, smiled even wider when he saw that the boy had finished his meal.

"That's good. You finished your meal." Alberto said as if he thought Michel was just a child.

After that sentence, the situation at the dinner table completely turned into silence. No one wanted to speak up at that time.

"Keep your promise."

Michel, who could not stand it, immediately said what was supposed to come out of his mouth.

Alberto nodded without asking what promise the man meant, in fact Alberto already knew everything.

"I am Alberto. Your biological father. You are my lost son. I have been looking for you, since the past few years. Since you were born, you were taken away by your mother. Since then, I haven't seen you since."

Alberto began to explain what he had promised to his son.

Michel was silent. He lifted his face to stare at Alberto who seemed to be focused on his words.

"My mother?" repeated Michel as if asking what relationship Alberto meant with his mother.

A long sigh came out of Alberto's mouth. Talking about this seemed to be the most difficult point of the many explanations expressed by Alberto.

"Your mother and Dad were once in a relationship. Your mother used to work as a maid in this mansion. Our relationship was established without the knowledge of your grandparents. Like the story of a relationship with different backgrounds, Dad and your mother were not given their blessing because of the huge differences."

Alberto looked back at his difficult past. His eyes were now full of emotion, almost brimming with tears.

"From that incident, there were many things that made our relationship not what it used to be. Many misunderstandings occurred between us, making our relationship even more tenuous. Whether the destruction was intentional or not, it was clear that everything was falling apart. One night, Dad accidentally saw your mom talking to a man. Dad thought it was a betrayal from your mom."

The continuation of the story made Alberto's voice falter.

"Until finally, your mother came with a pregnancy test. Dad's confused head and your mother's meeting with a strange man, made Dad lose trust. Dad is really sorry for everything." Alberto immediately wiped the corners of his eyes that were on the verge of tears.

Hearing this explanation, Michel was rooted to the spot, not knowing what to say. Everything was so complicated. He didn't know what steps to take.

"So, you deliberately let my mom take care of me alone? Feeling humiliated and struggling alone?!" Michel, who was trying to remain calm, finally exploded. He seemed to give Alberto a glare full of anger.

Alberto tried to approach his son and apologized sincerely.

"Dad is very sorry for all this. I know that I have made your mother struggle alone. Dad deserves some criticism. But, can you make amends for this past mistake?"

Michel just stood still. He really didn't know what decision to make at the moment. Everything seemed to be running around in his head.

Alberto understood very well what his son was feeling at the moment. Therefore, it was no wonder that Alberto chose not to invite his son to talk anymore.

"Ekhem! Attention to everyone. Tonight, I will announce a new decision. Please listen carefully."

All eyes seemed to be staring at Alberto except Michel who chose to avert them.

Alberto sighed for a moment. Before finally saying, "From now on, I will inherit Alberto's company to Michel. Michel will manage everything because it is his property."

Everyone looked surprised, especially Michel who immediately rounded his eyes. Not only was there shock, but a young man and a middle-aged woman who were Michel's new family also seemed to dislike the decision.

Michel's new family seemed unhappy with the decision.

He was Brion, a man not much different in age from Michel, clenching his fists until his fingers turned white.
