Chapter 08 Plans for the future

While they were at the banquet, Beast King Leonardo Vicente showed the map of the continent to Rey and explain everything there was to know about the other countries.

"The holy Church of Divine Country is one of the countries that we are keeping an eye on. They are opposed to the thought of having a monster/beast like us having our own country, hence we have predicted that the attack of barbarians is the plot made by them. This is Dakufindo, a country of demons that rules over all of Paradisus Silva. Despite the fact that they are demons, they do not attack without cause, though there is some cases that the demons was still trying to swallow some small country by finding some faults on them. The Dwarven Kingdom is a country populated by dwarfs who specialize in forging and construction. Though the Dwarven Kingdom's military is not particularly large, half of its population is made up of warriors, in no way inferior to any other nation. Lastly, The Country of Human race, There are four countries that are ruled over by the human race, but the ruler of them all is the Empire of Tigris and some of them were independent and doesn't want to associate with any other human country."

Rey recommended to the Beast King that both of them should construct a stone road between the two countries to formally declare their union. The Beast King will provide the resources, and Rey will offer the manpower needed.

After two days away, Rey and the others returned to Maharlika to meet with the ministers namely Goblu and the other member of the seats to discuss the future road development. And, happily, no one has objected to the concept of constructing a road connecting the two countries.

Rey also informed them of the information that he had obtained from the Beast King and told them that he intended to embark on a quest in which he would conquer the dungeon that would rise on Tenebris Silva's northwest side. Ministers are supposed to oppose him going there because it is being eyed by another country, but they eventually gave up after Rey persuaded them for nearly an hour.

As a result, Rey delegated Maharlika to the seat while he was away and just as he was about to go on a departure, a carriage from the Beast Kingdom suddenly arrived and was told that Rey could use it whenever he wanted to.

After a five-day trip, Rey finally arrived at the location of the so-called high-ranking dungeon and was surprised to learn that the dungeon had a total of 20 floors.

Rey called Khufra who was in his dimensional space to accompany him. They quickly prepared and entered the first floor. Fortunately, they were able to get past it quickly because the first-floor monarch is a goblin king who is only as strong as a hobgoblin and with their huge gap, it was like an ant being stepped on and not being able to fight back.

The second floor is the same as the first floor, but there are more of them, and the monarch of that floor is a goblin magician who was merely a rookie magician and as usual, they dropped an inner-gy Stone.

"This world really has some similarities to the anime that I watched back then." Muttered Rey.

Rey and Khufra reached the 5th floor after two days of raiding the floors. And for some reason, the only monsters on that floor are kobolds and a kobold king with ogre-like power.

They've made it to the 6th floor because their future opponents are also kobolds, and the king was a kobold magician akin to a magi-goblin. Rey decided to leave it to Khufra as to let him gain some combat experience battling a magician.

He was shocked that Khufra is already showing a sign of evolution and just a few minutes of battling, Khufra finally undergoes an evolution.

Five hours passed, and Khufra's appearance didn't change much, but he acquired the ability to manipulate fire while his claw has become more sharpened.

Both of them made it to the 7th floor and had a hard time because the opponent was a half-human, half-bird, but got through it nevertheless.

Ten days later, the two made it through the 10th floor and their opponent was a minotaur and a monarch of minotaurous lord with the might of an aka oni and the solid body of an orc knight.

"Leave it to me, brother!" Said, Khufra.

"Hm, okay.."

Khufra rushed toward the enemy and gathered innergy to his claw that turned into a fire element and just after he entered the enemy range, he strike him with brutality, but only dealt a small amount of damage.

Rey also attacked the enemy with his newly learned technique [Storm Fist], which is a simplified version of his ultimate skill [Storm Black Flame- Storm Flame turned into Storm Black Flame after his fire evolved to a high-ranking fire called Black Flame.]

He ran closer to the enemy while black flame was spinning around his fist. The firepower and fatality rate increased and he strike his side that has been wounded by Khufra just as he entered its range. His insides crumbled while his innergy orb has been destroyed and eventually died.

[32% evolution rate...]

The two take a break for two days since their innergy was depleted to some extent. and resumed their raiding after another two days passed.

This time, their opponent was a drake with the strength of an aka oni and the boss was similar to that of a wyvern.

Khufra can now keep up with the drakes after his evolution and so Rey entrusted it to him, while he himself fought the wyvern. 

He tried to put a little innergy on his feet and jumped into the flying wyvern that significantly increase his jumping ability.

Rey used [Storm Fist] and tried to punch the boss in the center of its body, but it didn't even suffer any damage.

"What a defense you have there, big fellow~" Muttered Rey.

He once again tried to strengthen the power of [Storm Fist] and attack but it only received a small wound. The wyvern continuously used its skill called [Thunder Breath] to attack Rey and could do nothing but dodge and take it to a distant place where khufra would not be hit.

Rey started to accumulate a certain amount of innergy to his two hands and was slowly turning to a ferocious fire that continuously spins from the center of his two palms. He runs and run while dodging its thunder breath until Rey finally cast his ultimate skill. 

He turned around and pointed his two palms to the flying so-called Wyvern, "Take this, big fellow~ Storm Black Flame!"

[The 10th Floor has been successfully cleared.]
