Chapter Twenty Three

The subsequent morning, Ryker came back with his helicopter to check on Castro. Castro was seated outside while Monk Pat was at his temple making morning prayer. It was all excitement when he saw him coming down from the helicopter. He walked to him and hugged him.

“Ryker. How are you?” Castro asked.

“I am fine. How is your guardian?”

Castro was surprised by the statement. He had never told him anything about Monk Pat being his guardian. He assumed he must have learnt about that during their conversation.

“He is fine. That’s him at the temple. He is making his morning prayer.”

“Will you be living with me today?”

Castro nodded his head. He had been expecting him since the conversation he had with the monk yesterday. He was reading the book he was given and he had learnt a lot. Castro would be more practical when he began to live in the midst of his colleagues. Although the fact that he had become immortal was paining.

“We will have to leave earlier before the sun surface,” Ryker said.
