Chapter 7: Close Yet too Far

" I must treat your hands first, wait. "

Benjamin got the medkit from the bathroom and started to bandage Bonnie's hands.

" You must be comfortable. "

Bonnie is looking at him speechlessly as the man is looking excited for it.

She noticed his pale skin, his ash hair.

His blue eyes.

The mask is not showing anymore of his face, except his pretty lips.

Bonnie hated herself for staring, but she doesn't have much of choice, she is going to sleep with the first man in her life.

After the Devil Sir finished, he raised his sight to look straight at her brown eyes which gave her shivers.

" Your first time right? "

Mr Devil asked Bonnie who is shocked somehow.

" How would you know? "

He chuckled as he sat down on the soft mattress beside her.

" It's obvious when we were kissing, you were shaking, you hated me, hated my touch, you are only here for the money. "

She shook her head which made The Devil more curious about Bonnie being a bad lier.

" I'm here to do my job, it would have happened sooner or later anyway, now stop talking and kiss me. "

Bonnie asked him without looking back at him.

She needed to take her sister's place as a stripper, she made it far not to allow someone to touch her but it was a matter of time, singing is hopeless in a place like this.

Before Mr Devil starts anything, he puts the 1000 dollars on the table without laying a finger on Bonnie's body.

He decided if she ran to the money, he will snap her neck right now eating her soul out.

" You can take them and leave, I won't chase after you. "

The Devil lied as he grinned to his stupid rabbit, Bonnie gazed at him surprised as her heart pumps hard, who would do that without getting anything in return?

He looks excited somehow, as if he plays a game.

Before Bonnie thinks the Devil held her wrist as he says firmly.

" But if you remain, I'll chase you to the end of your life, dear rabbit. "

The Devil words made Bonnie shiver as she took the first step climbing over the man to kiss him again which made him confused, is she stupid enough? He just told her to take the money?

His eyes is still open as he saw Bonnie is crying behind the mask, kissing him as a beginner, which made him hugs her tightly and kissing her back, showing her what is a real kiss looks like.

After the room is filled with their noises, Bonnie is trying to back away but the Devil grabbed her hair to make her remain on his lap as he deepens the kiss making her breathless.

" Ugh! Stop! "

Bonnie pushed his chest which made him break the kiss looking at her with his shocked like face before he kisses Bonnie again.

" Hey, you dirty lady stop moaning in your sleep and get up right now!  "

The next day Fiona after dusting their room, she had to wake her little sister who had dirty dreams all night.

She kept knocking above Layla's head with wooden spoons as Layla screamed leaving the beautiful land of dreams to the land of the living.

" C'mon my SmartWatch is telling me it's past 12, Hit to the café now! "

" IT'S 12!! "

Layla starts wearing her clothes and quickly washes her face then ran outside after hugging her sister.

" Take care of yourself, don’t open the door to anyone! Even to Philip your boyfriend! "

Layla shouted as she hit the streets going to take the first bus, she is running past the man who is with his loud fiancée buying some accessories for their home.

Benjamin flinched as he looks at the woman who runs like a cheetah to take the bus, smiling.

" Life can be hard on some people. "

Benjamin mumbled as his fiancée kept dreaming about their kids' bedroom.

" Are you done yet? I've to go to the company! They are out of actors, I have to act. "

Benjamin said to his fiancée who started to drain his energy out.

As a hardworking person, he had to accept the marriage proposal from his fiancée's father to avoid the scandals about him being a womanizer who enjoys his life in underground clubs.

Also the fact their is many crimes and dead women appear in every club.

" Baby please stop being so cold. "

He sighed looking at his watch for the fifth time already.

Humans are so boring.

Well except for one anyway.

He thought to himself as he remembers the passionate night he spent with his rabbit who ran from his net.

" Bonnie, we can continue Tomorrow. "

He said but it was too late before his fiancée reacts.

" I'm not Bonnie! "

Benjamin never knew her face nor her real name before she promised him to meet tomorrow and never showed up.

She didn't even take the money.

And never showed up for work again.

He should have followed her.

They only had rough and amazing night that they both will never forget.

" She is the only prey I let her flee from my hands... "

He mumbled to himself as Benjamin kept smiling while feeling Mia's hand on his cheek.

" Baby please pay attention to me, what is my name? "

" Say again? "

" Hah, never mind. "

Mia said as he paid for everything she wants.

Benjamin doesn’t care anyway

Marriage is not a big deal for him, he is doing this just for his image.

" Maybe I should stop looking for her, for real. "

Benjamin said out loud as his fiancée drove his car.

" Who?, The girl, Bonnie? "

" Yes. "

" I think you should, it's been six years, maybe she went to another country. "

Mia suggested as Benjamin is looking out the window.

" Bonnie was in a serious problem, the whole club exploded after two days she left her work, and even the club owner and her co-workers got brutally killed. "

" Oh my god! Do you think she did it? "

Mia is terrified as Benjamin is thinking.

"Of course not, but, I just wanted to make sure, she is still alive. "

He said as he is wondering why Mia is stopping in front of a café.

" I think you need a black coffee, I'm sorry but, You should forget about her, Jamin, The past is the past. "

Mia said out of jealousy as Benjamin is looking at her with a grin.

" Who is the cold one now? "

He smiled and she took off his belt.

" I'm not, I just hope you stop mentioning Bonnie, that's all. "

Mia said avoiding looking at his handsome blue eyes as he stares at her.

" Why are we here again? "

"Baby, I told you already I'll get you a coffee then I'll drive you to HAMSEY. "

" Okay. "

Benjamin is acting like a baby while Mia is his mom, they're with each other for 4 months now, tho, though they never kissed each other yet.

She is the perfect thing to make him looks like a spoiled rich human being.

Mia is hoping for a better relationship between them but Benjamin always ruins the mood by calling her, Bonnie.

Mia really loves him.

Benjamin used to be a good actor too but after becoming the Director, it is hard to continue without searching for this specific soul who ran from him.

- Inside the café -

" Oh my god, where is it? "

Layla is looking for her small mirror in her bag before remembering she maybe left it on the stage at HAMSEY company.

" Oh no, please no. "

Layla is freaking out As it's her shift at the café, she can't leave now.

Layla is in her uniform as her tag shows her name.

" Everything is going to be okay, I'll end my shift and go get it quickly before Salas lesson. "

Layla goes to clean the tables, to distract herself, she can't lose the last present her mother gave her before dying.

" Hello. "

Layla heard the door with two rich couples entering as Mia and Benjamin came in.

" Welcome to our café please make yourself at home. "

Layla left the towel quickly and went behind the counter with a smile wiping her sweaty trembling hands with napkins.

Benjamin went to sit on one of the chairs as he doesn't bother to talk with strangers as long as Mia is in here.

His back is facing Layla as he doesn't even care to look on unnecessary souls, Mia puts her bag in front of him and went to Layla with a wide smile.
