Saanvi
Saanvi jogged through the hallway with thoughts running around her brain. She was overthinking her decision.
What if I make it out of the mansion and find out he's not out already?
What if I come back and it's too late?
What if I don't leave and look for him?
Is he safe and outside of the mansion?
Is he hurt and in the mansion?
What do I do?!
Saanvi continued to run, not letting herself cry any longer. She had wasted too much time already. She needed to get out of here and see if Ryder was out.
She ran for a little while longer until she had to take a break. She leaned her back against the wall behind her and put her hands on her head. She took deep breaths.
Saanvi kept her hands above her head as she started to walk. She looked to her left and noticed the staircase that led downstairs.
Whew. I'm not that far now, Saanvi thought, smiling. She took a few more deep breaths and continued to jog at a good pace. She finally made it to the entrance of the house. She smiled even bigger as she ran through the two staircases that met in the middle behind her. Saanvi ran faster as she saw the big front doors in front of her.
CRASH!
SCREECH!
Those two sounds stopped Saanvi in her tracks. She heard the crash and demon screech on her left. It came from the same hallway that she and Ryder had walked into when they first came into the mansion.
She looked at the hallway and back to the door. She heard another crash.
It could be Ryder. I need to go and see.
Saanvi made her decision as she thought about how it could be Ryder. She ran into the hallway. The demon screeched again and it sounded like there were more than one demon. She stopped next to a room where the sounds were coming from.
That's when Saanvi realized that she had no weapons. How would she be able to help Ryder with no weapons?
It's fine... I'll just find a weapon in this room. I think it's the kitchen.
Saanvi shook herself out and took a deep breaths. There was another crash and Saanvi ran inside. She was stopped by the entrance from the scene in front of her.
The room was the same kitchen that Ryder and Saanvi had went into when they met their first demon. Saanvi looked at the demons fighting someone. Except the person that was fighting the demons wasn't Ryder... It was a female officer.
The female officer held her gun out as she backed up into a corner of the kitchen next to the table. Two demons slowly walked closer to her, trapping her with barely any effort. The officer shot at the demons but they just shrugged as the bullets fell out of them.
Neither the demons nor the officer noticed Saanvi standing at the entrance of the kitchen. Saanvi looked around the room again and started going through the draws on the island in front of her. She found a drawer of knives and chose the biggest and sharpest one. It was as long as half of her arm.
"Wow," Saanvi breathed out, amazed at the length of the knife. She heard a scream and took her eyes away from the knife to the officer. She had her arms covering her head and her gun on the floor.
Saanvi ran to demon on the right and swung the sharp knife toward its neck. The knife easliy went all the way through the demons throat. Saanvi gasped and backed away as the demons head fell off of its shoulders.
The demon put its head where its head used to be and felt nothing. Its arms suddenly dropped and so did its body. It collapsed to the floor and the thud alerted the demon on the left. Saanvi didn't let it have time to process what happened as she swung the knife at its throat.
The demon tried to hold its head on but it slipped out of its hands. The demons head splattered onto the floor as its body went limp and collapsed on top of the other dead demon.
The officer slowly took her arms away from her head and looked at the dead demons bodies. The officer then look at Saanvi and screamed.
Saanvi said, "I'm not going to hurt you. We need to get out of here though." She pointed to the demons on the floor and said, "They could come back alive at any moment."
"B-b-behind you," the female officer said, pointing behind Saanvi with a shaky hand.
Saanvi slowly turned around and gasped. She saw a demon standing several feet away from them. It stared at them, not moving.
Saanvi noticed that the demon was tall. Taller than the rest. It must've been almost nine feet. She then looked at its mouth where red blood dripped from its teeth and chin.
Saanvi looked confused for a moment as she thought, I thought that demons bled black blood. Not red.
Saanvi followed a drop of red blood drop from the demons chin to the floor. That's when she saw a body laying on the floor next to the tall demon. There was red blood pooled around the body on the floor. Saanvi saw an officer's uniform on the body.
The officer on the floor wasn't moving. They weren't breathing.
The officer was dead and the demon was eating them.
Saanvi looked back at the demon standing next to the dead officer. She realized that its eyes wasn't on them anymore. It was staring at the dead demons on the floor. It looked back up at Saanvi and met her eyes.
It growled and showed its sharp teeth that were covered in the officer's blood. It took long strides toward Saanvi and the female officer behind her.
Saanvi lifted her knife, ready to swing but soon realized that it was too tall for her to cut it's neck. She slowly back up and looked at the table on her left.
The demon quickly came closer as Saavni climbed onto the table. She was now a little taller than the demon. She got ready as the demon came toward her.
The demon stopped at the edge of the table and stared at Saanvi. She started to swing the knife at it. It slowly backed up but it wasn't quick enough to escape the sharp blade of the knife. Saanvi was able to cut across one of the demon's eyes. It screeched as it realed backward, clutching its eye. Black blood began to pour through its fingers.
Saanvi took the opening and she swung at the demons throat. The knife swung through the demon's throat and arms. Its arms slipped off and fell to the floor first. That's when Saanvi saw the demons face before its head fell to the floor as well. It had an opened mouth in the shape of an 'o' and the demons right eyes had a slash through it.
The demons head and body fell to the floor next to the other demons on the floor.
Saanvi jumped off the table and walked over to the femal officer who was still in the corner of the kitchen. "We have to go," she said, reaching a comforting hand out to the officer.
The officer wasn't looking at Saanvi and didn't respond. She was staring at the dead officer's body. She ran past Saanvi and dropped on her knees next to the dead officer. She screamed as her hands hovered over the body. She brought her hands to her face and sobbed.
Saanvi walked over to the female officer and knelt down next to her. The dead body was sprawled out on the marble floor. Saanvi's eyes moved over his body to see his arm torn. His skin was peeled back, revealing the inside of his arm that looked to have bites in it.
"O-oh my god," Saanvi gasped, clutching her stomach and mouth. She looked away from the torn body, trying not to throw up. "W-who was he?"
The female officer still had her face in her hands which muffled her voice when she replied. "H-he was Officer Jones... He- I- Why?!" She sobbed harder.
Saanvi pat her back in a comforting way. "What's your name?"
The officer wiped her eyes and looked at Saanvi. "I-I'm Justice."
Saanvi softly said, "Hi, Justice. I'm Detective Saanvi."
"I know... I was sent here by the chief to look for you when you didn't answer his calls for the past two days," Justice said.
"Wow. It's been two days already?" Saanvi looked over to the demon's dead bodies and seperated heads and said, "I don't think they'll come back alive. They should've been alive already... I guess cutting off their heads fully kills them." She looked back at Justice who was staring at Jones. "Hey. Umm... Do you know if Detective Rdyer made it out already?"
Justice didn't look at Saanvi and said, "He didn't make it out yet. The chief told us to look for both of you."
Saanvi stood up, grabbing the long knife and said, "Then I can't leave yet. I have to find Ryder.
Justice looked up at Saanvi like she was crazy. She said, "But he could be dead... You could be risking your life for a dead body. I'm sorry Saanvi, but we have to leave. We can't look for him."
"I'm not leaving! I need to find him... Dead or alive," she yelled, whispering the last part.
Justice sighed and said, "Saanvi. We can't stay here. We need to leave. It's too dangerous here."
"No! I need to find him! He's hurt and he might need our help!"
Justice began to raise her voice and pointed at Jones. "Do you want to end up like him?!"
Saanvi wiped her eyes and quietly said, "No."
Justice nodded and said, "Good. Now we both know the smarter thing to do. We can't let our emotions get in the way. We need to be smart about this if we don't want to end up dead." Saanvi stayed silent and the officer continued, "We are going to leave. Then we can come back with reinforcments to help us search for Ryder... Ok?"
Saanvi kept her eyes on the ground and slowly nodded. Justice sighed and said, "I'm sorry, Saanvi. But this is what we need to do. Now let's go."
Saanvi kept her eyes on the floor as she followed Justice. As they reached the entrance of the kitchen, they heard squishing behind them. It sounded wet.
They both turned around to see the demons pushing themselves up and off the floor.
One of the demons sat up still headless. It used its hands to searched the floor to find its head. It picked one up and tried to put it on but it was too big. It threw it on the floor as it grabbed another one. It put this one on and it fit. It twisted the head until it fit perfectly. It held it there as its skin healed itself. It shook its head and growled happily as it stayed on.
The other two demons stood up as well as their heads attached themselves back to their bodies.
Once the demons were satisfied, they turned to Justice and Saanvi who had their mouths open in shock.
"W-what?" Justice whispered.
Saanvi yelled in anger. "How do you die?!"
The tallest demon took a step forward and stood in front of the other two demons. It's eyes completely turned white. It pointed at the two girls and demonically said something in a forgien language.
The other demons seemed to have followed a command as they immediatley nodded and ran to Saanvi and Justice. They screamed and ran out into the hallway.
Ryder “What about weapons?” Ryder asked as he took of his hoodies, leaving the shirt on. “What about them?” Luci asked as he changed into a black muscle shirt with full sleeves. The shirt was tight showing his muscles through the shirt. He pulled on black cargo jeans as well. Ryder looked at him and said, “Well, don’t we need weapons to protect ourselves from the demons. You should have some since you have stayed here for so long. Surely you had to fight some demons along the way, right?” Luci turned to Ryder and said, “Why would I fight my- I mean, of course I fought m- the demons. Let me go get some weapons. Give me a minute.” Luci walked past Ryder and suddenly froze. Ryder turned to look at him and asked, “Hey, Luci. You alright?” Luci didn’t respond so he poked him. Luci still didn’t respond. “Hey Luc-” Ryder was interrupted when Luci spoke in a demonic voice. He said something in a foriegn language. It sounded like the same language that he heard in h
Saanvi Saanvi and Justice ran out of the kitchen. Saanvi tried to run to the right toward the door but a demon came out of a room next to the kitchen. The demon that came out of the room blocked their way. Justice tugged on Saanvi’s arm, pulling her to the left through the hallway. There were no windows along the hallways. It was narrow with doors on their right and left but they didn’t go into any of them because the demons would see and follow them. Justice pulled Saanvi behind her as the demons chased behind them. Saanvi turned to see the demon from the room running on two feet. The other two demon that had followed the order of the taller demon were running on all fours behind the demon from the room. Saanvi couldn’t see the taller demon. Suddenly the demon that was running on two feet tried to pounce on Saanvi. She screamed. When it missed, it growled and ran on all fours like the other two demons behind it. That’s when Saanvi saw the taller demon. It was
Ryder Ryder twisted and turned on the couch. His ribs ached. He was only able to sleep for what seemed like a few minutes. He sat up and groaned at the pain shooting throughout his torso. Ryder looked at the bookshelves full of books. Saanvi would love this place. She always reads in her free time. Ryder sighed and put his head in his hands. She should be here. With me. Safe. Not scared like she probably is right now… If she’s still alive, one part of him thought. Saanvi is alive! Don’t think like that! She’s probably just scared. Or dead. She could be dead. No! I won’t accept that! She’s alive! How would you know? Ryder paused. He tried to find an answer. He tried to find a reason she could be alive. She’s strong. She wouldn’t give up easily, Ryder concluded. He didn’t want to continue the battle in his head. He didn’t want to think that she could be dead. She could’ve died a while ago. No! She could’ve died r
Saanvi Saanvi got up from the spot she had been sitting down for hours. She had just been thinking about Justice and the man. Saanvi had thought about Justice. She didn't deserve this, she had thought to herself. She didn't deserve to die. And neither did the other officer. Saanvi had thought about the man. Flashes of Justice being killed by him had flashed in her mind. She saw his black eyes. His sword on Justice's neck. Him cutting her throat open. Blood spilling out. Justice dropping to the floor. She remebered when she had ran up to Justice, screaming. She had expected to be killed as well but when she had looked back up, they were all gone. She had so many questions. But two were the most important. Where'd they go? Why didn't they kill me too? Saanvi sighed and looked down at Justice's dead body. "I'm so sorry, Justice," Saanvi whispered. A tear drop rolled down her cheek and she didn't bother to wipe it. "You didn't deserve this.

Hi! I have finally fixed the login issues! But now there are going to be some changes. First, I moved all of the chapters to another account. It's the same book name "The Devil's House". So just search that up and continue reading on that account. U can forget about this one. If u can't find it, let me know and I'll help u. Also, I changed some things in the book, like spelling mistakes and other things that may have been wrong. I also changed the heights of the demons. They’re going to be a little taller than they were before. Oh, and I changed the way Saanvi looked. It’s not a big difference, it’s just her hair. There were no important changes so you can continue reading from where you left off. I will continue writing on that account from now one:) I'm sorry for making u guys wait, but I have some more chapters that I will publish on the other account. If u have any questions, or trouble finding the book, please let me know. This might take a few days to full fix this situat
