The tall young man stepped out of his hut with his sword on it. He stood in the courtyard of the house with a harden of his jaw for a moment, then looked at the surroundings where there were rows of huts where he lived and also the people in the village.
"Edgar,"The young man named Edgar suddenly turned his head quietly, looking at his mother who was now walking up to him by pushing plastic filled with boiled sweet potatoes.
"You should be able to find the prince, because it's your responsibility." Said the woman smiling softly, looking up at her tall son.
Edgar just nodded as he put the sweet potatoes in the sling bag made of used cloth. The young man, too, said goodbye away with a faint smile at the mother who escorted him with a teary look.
Edgar was the personal bodyguard of the royal crown prince––Yatara. However, because something happened. He was suspended from office because Prince Yatara had betrayed the kingdom.
To be honest, Edgar didn't believe in that at all. Because a year ago, Prince Yatara always tried to guard the kingdom with his own efforts. Although some members of the kingdom consisting of his uncles the prince did not believe that.
They blamed the prince for what had already befallen the king. It was the king's disease that was not cured that made everyone wonder. Some healers also resigned because they were not able to take care of the king's illness.
Edgar stopped his footsteps, looking at the surroundings. The young man raised a high eyebrow, feeling that someone was following.
He, too, pulled out his sword. His gaze turned sharply, with the tails of the moving eyes sweeping all corners in the middle of the forest.
The nimble movement of someone darting forward made Edgar immediately throw his sword, slashing at someone who was now holding his attack with his fingertips.
Edgar hardened his jaw, his body and also the sword in his grasp could not move. His body seemed to freeze because of the actions of the figure who was now withdrawing, making Edgar's sword slowly fall on the litter.
"Virga?"
The figure who was none other than Virga smiled for a moment. Then looked at Edgar straight. "Where are you going?" Edgar's eyebrows interlocked at the question of the young man who was still related by blood to the Yatara prince.
"You want to find the prince?"
Edgar didn't answer, just hardened his jaw by staring at Virga unfriendly. "It's none of your business," the young man retorted about to hurry, but his steps came to a halt as Virga was now standing in his way with a sword.
"You know, now Yatara is a betrayer. If you're desperate to be a follower of him... you'll get punished. No, just you... but your whole family." It was obviously the young man wearing a maroon robe.
Edgar smiled crookedly at that, staring intently at the few troops brought by Virga now slowly docked and swarmed him.
"Prince Yatara is not a betrayer, because you know for yourself who the real betrayer is." Edgar said coldly, "one who does everything in order to get the throne in the kingdom is a betrayer." Continued the long-haired figure by pulling out his sword.
"Your ambition and spirit now, will not be able to save both your parents and younger siblings." Virga reiterated his remarks, "if you follow rebels and betrayers ... you will be sentenced to death. You know, yourself, right?"
Edgar just smiled, not responding to Virga's deliberately threatening talk.
"Do whatever you want to do, because I... will never submit to someone like you." Edgar said firmly as a strong gust of wind towards him made his long hair move with the direction of the wind.
It was not only Edgar who was shocked by the gust of wind, but Virga and also his troops.
Moreover, the leaves of the tree are moving strongly, there is also the sound of bells coming from nowhere.
Edgar squinted, feeling that he was catching the shadow of someone behind a tree. However, a few moments later the shadow shot out without a trace.
Virga raised an eyebrow at the sight of Edgar who instead ignored his warnings and threats. The young man instead focused in the other direction, as if something was more threatening than the existence of Virga and his army.
"I will forgive your deeds if you become my follower now. Because the king's state is very concerning at the moment, there is no candidate more worthy of being king than me." Virga said confidently with a smile looking at Edgar who was now returning his gaze sharply.
"Until then, you won't be able to be king. Because the one who has the right to be the heir is the crown prince... Prince Yatara, it is not you who is a betrayer." Edgar retorted coldly, clutching the hilt of his sword.
Virga just smiled then nodded her head quietly, "alright, if that's what you want. Continue to be a follower of Yatara, you will feel a suffering that you have never felt before." Virga said ending her chatter, closing his eyes for a moment by wagging his cloak which instantly made his disappear in the middle of that forest.
Edgar hardened his jaw, completely unfamiliar with the way of a Virga's mind. Even though so far King Samuel has treated him as his own son. Apart from the fact that Virga is the son of his younger brother, it is also because Virga has lost both of his parents since childhood. Therefore, Virga lived in court with King Samuel and family.
Instead of repaying all the merits and favors of the king during this time. Virga instead wants to usurp the throne that should belong to Yatara.
His greed for the throne disturbed Virga's common sense, to the point of slandering prince Yatara as a betrayer.
Brainwashing the members of the kingdom, the troops and the people of Eternal Ice. Spreading the issue of Prince Yatara who has made King Samuel fall ill because of his strength which is inversely proportional to the strength of the Eternal ice nation.
Yatara was born to have a pair of fireballs, making the king, queen and everyone anxious about it. They assumed the birth of Yatara as a curse for the Eternal Ice nation. For a long time King Samuel tried to cover up about the reality of the eyeballs possessed by Yatara.
However, some members of the kingdom who intended to betray the king instead slowly spread the matter. From then on, Yatara was hated by everyone in his own kingdom.
Only Edgar, the only person he could trust.
Edgar, too, began to advance attacking the dozens of troops in front of him who now had their eyeballs blackened in the dark with the temperature of the air around them increasing cold. The leaves on the top of the tree froze, their breath until it was steamy rose merged with the cold air around.
"You will have the same fate as Prince Yatara if you continue to rebel," said one of the troops making Edgar smile obliquely.
"And you will also become rubbish if you continue to obey Virga's orders." Edgar retorted immediately evading as one of the royal armies advanced on his attack.
The young man shot nimbly, brandishing his sword and slashing at every advancing army attacking him. No one could avoid the figure's sharp and long sword. If you are determined to get rid of everything in front of him, then it can happen. Edgar could turn something impossible into a possibility.
No need to wait long, the silver-haired young man can finish everything off in a short time.
Edgar turned his head to the side, looking at his sword eyes that now had traces of the blood of the troops sprawled stiffly on the frozen litter. He again put the sword in the scabbard of his sword. He was about to step away from where he stood, but his eyebrows were raised high as he felt a fairly strong tremor that almost made him fall flat, if not immediately balancing his body.
The young man sharpened his eyes, feeling sure that soon there would be a big thing happening in Eternal Ice. A shocking incident, which he had never imagined before.
Theodoric gawked where he stood, looking at the spring-like circle in front of him hanging in the air. He blinked his eyes trying to make sure that what was in front of him was really something real. The circle slowly widened like a door that looked like it was going to suck Theodoric's body into it.Theodoric shuddered faintly beginning to feel a bone-chilling chill. Until he occasionally gritted his teeth, Yatara, who had been standing next to him, let out a faint breath."Even though you haven't come in yet, but have been shivering from the cold like this." Yatara said so anxious and thoughtful."Why is it, is it colder in your kingdom than this?"Yatara shook his head quickly, "if I don't think it's that cold." Said the prince sure made Theodoric suddenly glare."Your skin is rhino skin times yes, that's why you can't feel this cold." Said the young man even sneered.Yatara thinned his lips for a moment, "I'm used to the cold there because I was born there. Just like y
Edgar washed his face with river water, putting his sword beside his feet by making a boulder as a sword backrest. He sighed for a moment, feeling refreshed after exhaustion down the path trying to find Prince Yatara's whereabouts.Edgar often visited this Taho River together with the prince, either because they deliberately came to play there. Or just to hide from the chasing royal army and search for the whereabouts of the two of them.He was self-inflicted for not being able to keep his promise to the prince not to betray and leave the Crown Prince alone.A few weeks ago, Edgar was forced to return to his house without first talking to Yatara. It does not explain why he chose to return to his village instead of accompanying Yatara to meet King Samuel who was heavily guarded by royal troops. So, Yatara had to swallow the bitterness of his fruitless desire. Because afterwards, the royal army under Virga's control accused Yatara of treason and did something against King Sa
The sturdy man stood towering with a frown looking at someone who was now receiving the royal crown making all those present in the royal throne room bow their heads in salute to their new king—Virga Rahacky—the successor to the throne of Eternal Ice.King Samuel himself had given a mandate to his right-hand man to Virga as his successor. Of course it was the words of Virga and his people who had planned this all.One of them stood with a hardened expression, clenching their fists unwelcome with what had just happened. Ceremony the surrender of the throne that should have received the royal crown was himself neither Virga nor anyone else. But, the rightful one is himself— Jhosep— the king's younger brother.Jhosep looked at the new king who was now standing swaggeringly in front of all the royal members. Standing in his oversized robes made all heads look down respectfully, none of them dared to raise their heads before the king pleased. And that makes Jhosep even more unacceptable.A
Theodoric blinked his eyes slowly, then opened the eyelids slowly making the two people who were now on both sides immediately approach with anxious expressions."You, is it okay?" Edgar asked making sure there were no injuries to Theodoric's body.Karina stood up, linking her eyebrows at each other, "it looks like he just passed out." Said the girl was sure,Theodoric, who didn't understand why he could faint, just gawked. Moved his head left and right. "Why did I faint?" The young man asked with an innocent expression."You don't remember at all?" Karina said looking at him lazily."Hm, that's why I asked." Karina clicked then turned to face Theodoric entirely. The girl who locked her long hair high stared closely at Theodoric's two eyeballs who looked shocked because of her actions."After these two fire eyeballs appeared, you were directly knocked into the air and fainted like a loser." Karina explained firmly, Theodoric, who heard her narration, immediately squeezed his lips—ment
The sound of lightning could be heard interspersed above the sky with a clear sky as if there was no sign of rain. The winds of the storm, too, made Eternal feel more like the north pole—to humans like Theodoric. However, not for the original Eternal Ice nation. This kind of cold temperature is normal for them.If it's suddenly scorching hot, it's a sign of the end for Eternal Ice. Because when that happens, the entire kingdom will be destroyed. All that is frozen will thaw and drown out nothing in that eternal ice kingdom."Your Majesty, you call me?"Someone stood in the doorway of the king's study, bowing their heads in salute."Hm, come here." Said the figure who was none other than Virga—waving goodbye to the royal advisor who was already an elder and highly valued by all members of the kingdom, including King Samuel himself."I will start attacking the neighboring kingdom, starting from the kingdom of Vale—""King Samuel never wanted to wage war between kingdoms," cut off the ro
All the student gathered on the ceremonial field wearing their full uniforms without lacking a single one. One of them, there is a tall figure with his long hair under the earlobe. His school uniform was unbuttoned, leaving a plain black T-shirt attached to his sturdy body. The figure stood in the last row of his class, inside his mouth was a chocolate-flavored lollipop candy that he had been biting rough until his voice disturbed several of his classmates. The class leader who stood leading the way in front, turned his head at a glance and immediately turned his eyes when he locked eyes with the young man who was known to troublemakers in the class. The principal still delivered his long mandate, insensitive to the pupils who had complained of heat by using their body language. Moving to peel their necks with their hands, some are sitting because they are tired of standing, some are deliberately standing backwards so that they can take shelter under the tree."Again, the hon. Gentlem
Aidan blinked his eyes in fear, clutching the torch he was holding. Trying to take courage even though the knees have been shaking since just now. Moreover, the tall figure in front of him now approached with blood-like red eyes and occasionally looked like a flame. The little boy took even more rough sips, closing his eyes as the figure in front of him—Theodoric swung his two sharp swords at Aidan."Uh, gosh!"Aidan immediately opened his eyes when he heard the shocked voice of Theodoric who was now standing hiding behind Aidan's tiny body. "How can you... killed them?" Theodoric asked the little boy who was still in shock. "You burned them all? Seriously?" He asked half-incredulously, but couldn't refuse the truth because the monsters just now had been devoured by the fire until they were scorched and some were even reduced to ashes."It turns out that even a kid in Eternal ice, capable of killing monsters with just a torch." Theodoric muttered in amazement himself, "cool, really co
The tall young man in front of the gate coughed slightly, lowering his firearm for an instant. Several times turned his head to the back of the state palace where he was standing guard now. His uniform still looked new, neatly ironed until the sides of his clothes were formed like a sharp-edged line. His hair was short typical of military members, standing in full uniform guarding the gate of the palace. The standby checks the identity of guests who come and want to meet the president of the country. The thick-lipped young man frowned as someone stood beside him, replacing himself on guard. After giving each other homating, the young man also pulled away stepping in and out into the military barracks. He occasionally saluted and greeted some seniors who were also ready for duty. "Allen," the young man suddenly turned his head as someone called his name. "Yes, senior?""Don't go home yet, because we have to have a meeting with the president." It was obviously the man with a sturdy arm
