Chp 25. Old Reunion

Dylan was quietly enjoying the buildings of the city as he passed by, people passing by on the street in their vehicles or on the sidewalks on foot. Tomorrow was a holiday, the perfect time for all of them to do the usual fun things that were done when holidays arrived.

Even so, Dylan had no intention of joining them. His heart was already locked on seeing the beauty of the lake, as Maya had mentioned earlier. The black sedan carrying Dylan and Maya seemed to have left the city area, heading towards the lake in the neighboring city.

Occasionally, Dylan turned his head to the side, watching Maya's behavior, which he found strange. The woman straightened her hair several times, checked her makeup, and adjusted her seat. Her behavior caught Dylan's attention enough to ask.

"Are you okay?" Dylan asked.

"This is the first time I've visited them in years. I usually only call them when I'm homesick," Maya replied.

"I don't know what it's like, but somehow you seem kind of nervous like that,"
