Gerald was called to his father's office as soon as he got to work that day.

"Dad" Gerald called as soon as he entered the office.

Peter motioned for Gerald to sit down.

Then he dropped the filles in his hand. "I suppose you know that your mother is back now right?" Peter asked.

Gerald knew that it was a rhetorical question. He had seen the news. Of course, he also knew that he met his mother.

"Yes, she came to find me yesterday" Gerald said. There wasn't anything to hide anyway. Anyway,he wanted to find out why his mother had come back. He would take any clues that he can find. Who knows if his father knows something?
