Cora thought Daphne was just asking Zak what he wanted to eat, and after sitting alone and teasing the cat for several minutes without seeing Zak come out, her mind began to wonder. The longer it took, the more the desire to find out soon became overwhelming, but it didn't seem necessary to get up and call Zak's name as she headed for the kitchen.
