Ihann gasped for air, his body regenerating from the fatal wounds suffered. Owari landed on the leveled air he and his opponent stood on as he beheld Ihann writhe in pain.“Come on now,” Owari mused. “This can't be everything you've got. So much for being the Cosmos buttkisser. You aren't living up to his hype, lad. Try harder, Commander, or I'm just gonna kill you. Not that I wouldn't do it anyways.”"Shut up, old hag," Ihann snapped. "That smug look on your face will be nothing more than a deceased grin when I'm done with you."'How he got out of there still amazed me.' Ihann thought. 'Kōzō, you really gave us a suicide mission. I'd haunt you in the afterlife if I don't make it out of this alive. Luckily enough, he's severely weakened by Akuma's…'"Yo," Owari interrupted his thought process. "Suppressing my technique won't cut it for you, you know? There's only so much a Konkyuu can do against its inventor, so I suggest you pick up the pace now."Ihann exhaled flames of rage. In an o
Akuma groaned in pain, his body melting gradually. 'He completely ignored my technique. He must have concluded the transcendence process Whispers of a Fated End slowed down. This fast? This is bad. This is very bad.'Akuma's Konkyuu began to melt as well, finally giving in to the phenomenon of hell's flames. Ihann attempted to activate the technique: Gluttony, but he was quickly answered by celestial bolts of lightning through the throat and gut.Ihann was knocked unconscious, but Owari pressed on, engulfing his entire body in hell's flames. He burned through the annals of time in an attempt to find a loophole in the Time Core's technique.'Come on, man!' Owari roared in his inner thoughts, driving his spirit. "Yakeru (Burn)!"The flames intensity increased, and in a feat that was nothing short of divine, Owari broke through the Konkyuu/Zenkai dimension.Owari, Amjma and Ihann found themselves in a desolate Street in Kyoto, Japan. Akuma was down for the count, his body in a condition
The Hunter was a Daemon who broke away from fate itself. Forging a dark covenant in his darkest moments, Mother Nature transfigured him to exist in the universe without the life force that drove all of humanity: a Core.In exchange, he was given a body, mind, soul and spirit, talents, skills and crafts of perfection. He transcended all power scaling in the Shinjutsu universe, becoming a phenomenon every Daemon had feared back in the day, startling even the King himself.Owari Kurogane beheld Shogun fight through the pain of his flames, his body rapidly burning beyond recognition. The latter was not new to pain, and his body's build granted him the resilience he needed to endure the technique. He increased the intensity of the flames, but Shogun adopted a stance. He hopped on air and in that instant, he was out of the King’s sight. In a split second, the Hunter’s hand collided with the head of the Daemon King, crushing his skull viciously with a wicked face slam. The ground beneath the
The nigh-infinite smoke at the climax of Owari's Zenkai outlined the structure of his next opponent's build. The Daemon marched forth in confidence, not an iota of fear rumbling in his mind."Quite the move you've got, Owari Kurogane." The dust slowly faded away to display his next challenger, Sakonji. "Unfortunately, the little Hail Mary you pulled off was all for nothing."In that moment, Owari had realised the truth. Shogun was not unalived yet, but it was not by his efforts. "You saved him, didn't you, Daemon?""The name's Sakonji, Lord Owari," The speed daemon had highlighted. "And yes, I did save him. I guess you can say it's one of the many perks my technique grants me the ability to do."Owari was impressed, figuring out the technique of the opponent that faced him.Sakonji was the Infinity Core. Bringing the concepts of fractals to reality, Sakonji manipulated different
Akuma wiped off the blood from his mouth, his body permanently scarred by Hell's Flames. 'Shit. I've got to be careful on which commands to use. I'm not within Whispers of a Fated End anymore.’Owari regenerated new body parts at miraculous speeds. He got up from his feet, facing off against the anomalies he attempted to destroy once before. ‘First they come at me one after the other, now they come all at once?’“We better hope we make it out alive,” Ihann grunted, his vocal cords damaged and body beat up. “Heaven knows if he is using the full 3% maximum output. Let's see what else he's got.”The four surrounded Owari, all holding battle stances. The latter smirked, lifting up his first two fingers. The eyes opened wide, recognising his signature technique.Omni-directional dimensional slashes rained down upon his oppositions. Faster than the majority could react to, their joints were dismantled from their bodies. The villains began to operate at auto regeneration in an attempt to hear
Owari felt it. His heart, his being, was falling apart. His Core was glitching. Sloth is the ultimate technique of the Devil's Core. With the power to cause an opponent's arsenal to glitch and have its efficiency reduced or completely dulled depending on the prowess of the opponent, the King's intuition of a change in his being was right.Subjecting himself to intense vigorous training, Ihann polished his technique: Sloth to transfer any damage taken or sustained back to the attacker. Further enhancing the technique's worth by merging the call energies of the Chaos King and the Mastermind, the Zenkai: "Misery" grants Ihann the ability to damage any concept and make opponent take the form of said concept as well as to make oppositions take the form of the damage they produce. Misery made the commander practically untouchable and it proved to be the direct counter to the power of the Core of final Judgment."Kurogane," Ihann called out. "You're…""Yeah, yeah. This is your new form blah b
••• ‡ •••Born into the Minamota Clan, I was a Daemon upheld by my people. I was one of a kind, being the strongest and fastest Daemon of my clan. and in extension the entire Daemon race.My technique was one which could not be rivaled by anyone. I was envied and admired by all who faced me. I was a demon nearly worshiped like a deity, and soon enough, it all got in my head.Daemons of unparalleled strength sought to measure their worth against me. I was their power scaler in essence, and I gradually grew a sense of superiority over my kind.Little by little, my mentality and ideals altered for the worst. My sense of discipline and pride rose to new heights, and all who confronted me were deemed worthless by my power.Challenges were nothing more than privileged entities who were blessed with the opportunity to be decapitated by me. Every soul desired to die in my hand, and I was in ecstasy bathing in their blood.Daemons of the Taisho Era tried to humble me, to teach me the concept of
Hello, loves💙I really wanted to make this extended author's note to address a few things. Maybe it's due to my impatience, but I'm 75 chapters in and yet not a single review, chapter comment or support from the algorithm. I honestly do not know if I have readers who enjoy this story, but I guess it can't be helped since Meganovel is carried by its urban stories. If any of you all end up reading this, I'd really appreciate a comment/feedback/honest thoughts on my novel. I’d really appreciate it.That aside, I know I've been giving Owari Kurogane a lot of the story’s plot portion lately, but he still remains a side character. The following chapters will take a shift in pov to Kai Nagano’s side of things.I know I may not be the best at uploads, most likely due to my lazy personality, but I pray y'all stick around. This story is unlike any you've ever read.Well, I guess that's it for now. See ya💙
