Once Remus said that, everyone in the hall was shocked. But in the next second, laughter was heard. No one believed that a liar was worthy of Jean Lotus.

"You scoundrel. You must've heard me mentioning that Ms. Lotus would be at the Neptuna, so you've come here to commit fraud!" Brianne sneered.

"Sure enough, those who came from prison usually have something wrong with their heads." Elias shook his head. He had already sensed something unusual yesterday when Remus spoke back to him. How would a normal person dare disrespect him? Upon knowing the truth, Elias figured that Remus must have been beaten up when he was in prison.

Miranda stood by the side, watching the scene indifferently. She looked innocent and stunning in her evening gown. Her looks were worthy of her title as the most attractive woman in Neptuna.

"Mr. Bowen, this is your son-in-law? He doesn't seem the decent sort," Skylar teased.

Elias quickly warned, "Mr. Stuart, please watch your tongue. We have no relation to him!"

Skylar had inquired about the relationship between Remus and the Dragon Head. He found that they indeed knew each other. But it was Remus who had shamelessly troubled the Dragon Head, causing the Dragon Head to be unhappy. Skylar felt at ease knowing that they weren't friends.

Then, Skylar smiled and looked at Ben. He thought, "My son has a good chance!"

At the entrance…

"Hahaha! You fool! You really do amuse me. How dare you talk about Ms. Lotus?" Mr. Lawson laughed.

Then, he teased, "Do you know that Ms. Lotus is the daughter of Centurio? She's a noble lady. You really should take a look in the mirror and see for yourself what a loser you are. Take a good look and see if you're worthy enough to even know Ms. Lotus!"

Another burst of laughter sounded in the hall.

Jean was puzzled that Remus was here for her. However, she quickly understood that maybe the Working Emperor Adam Jones ordered him to look after her. After all, it was not easy to find a job after coming out of prison.

Remus coldly said, "You can ask Ms. Lotus to verify it. Also, if you like laughing so much, I can help you keep your mouth open for the rest of your life!"

Looking at Remus' gaze, Mr. Lawson felt as if the Devil was staring at him. It felt sinister, making him scared to speak.

"Nonsense!" Suddenly someone shouted. It was Ben. Although he did not understand why Remus was still alive, his father had tasked him to hook up with Ms. Lotus. Now was his chance to show himself!

He sneered, "Hey, Cosby! You were babbling nonsense yesterday at Mr. Bowen's house and said you have a marriage agreement with Miranda. Now, you're here making a fool of yourself. When will you learn?"

Before Remus could speak, a discussion blew up in the hall.

"What? He has a marriage agreement with Miranda?"

"How could Miranda be interested in him?"

"It must be fake. Mr. Bowen, is this fake?"

Everyone looked over at Elias.

Elias was furious and quickly explained, "It's fake. Of course it's fake. That kid pretended to be an expert yesterday to seduce my daughter. He even said my father had agreed to this marriage and took out a marriage contract. I knew it was fake at a glance, so I chased him away!"

How could he possibly admit it on such an occasion?

Brianne was scared that no one would believe her and anxiously added, "Even Mr. Lawson said he's a charlatan. He also came from prison. It's normal for a guy like this to deceive for marriage! Fortunately, Miranda didn't die in his hands yesterday. We let the matter pass, but he still appeared before us. Disgusting. Security, where is security? Get him out of here!"

Remus only sneered as he watched everything happen. What an ungrateful family.

"No need for that. Just leave him to me!" Ben smiled. He deliberately mentioned the marriage contract so Elias would deny it in front of everyone, making Remus lose all dignity. Plus, he had to show off his ability to Ms. Lotus. Otherwise, it would be all too easy for Remus.

Then, Ben arrogantly said, "Cosby, now that everyone knows you're a liar, you can't deceive anyone here. I know people like you well. You won’t give up easily if you haven’t achieved your goals. It's disgusting. So, what do you want in order to leave Ms. Lotus alone?! I will satisfy you on behalf of Ms. Lotus!"

The crowd glanced at each other as they knew Ben was deliberately pushing himself into the limelight to get Ms. Lotus' attention. However, they secretly praised him for being smart!

Skylar nodded with satisfaction. The future of the Stuarts was bright.

Finally, Jean couldn't stand it and said, "You're worthy of representing Ms. Lotus?"

Ben followed the voice and looked closely at Jean. Instantly, he was amazed by her beauty. How on earth could Remus have such beauties around him all the time? Anyways, he wanted to sleep with her too!

Thinking of that, Ben arrogantly replied, "Of course. As the heir to the Sky Group, I am Ms. Lotus' invited guest. If I'm not worthy, is such a cheap person like you worthy?"

Ben believed that no one around Remus should be respected. The reason he mentioned his identity was to attract attention. That was how Kylie fell into his trap.

All the people at the banquet were having fun witnessing the drama. Without knowing Jean's identity, they felt that she was unworthy of representing Ms. Lotus, but might be a good match for the son of Centurio.

Jean's expression was sour, and she did not speak.

"Apologize to her!" Remus suddenly shouted. Other than being here to cancel the marriage, his purpose today was to protect Jean, just like he promised before entering the hall.

Ben's gaze returned to Remus as he laughed. "What did you say? Why should I apologize to her? Is she worthy of it? Are you? Huh?"

But Remus had rushed forward and grabbed his neck before he could finish. Then, he indifferently said, "Kneel, grovel, and apologize!"

Ben was instantly suffocated and horrified. He never imagined that Remus would strike him during such an occasion. At that moment, he felt like he might die. However, if he really gave in, all his effort would be in vain.

Those in the hall were also shocked. No one expected Remus to pick a fight.

"Let go of my son! Otherwise, I'll kill your entire family!" Skylar was the first to react.

"Release Ben. If you hurt him, I'll make sure you leave here on your back!" Elias also spoke.

This was Ms. Lotus's banquet, so order had to be in place.

Remus seemed to have not heard them and tightened his grip, causing Ben’s eyes to roll back.

"Stop it!" Miranda, who had been silent, took a step forward. She frowned. "Remus Cosby! Do you know what occasion this is? All the big shots in Neptuna are here. How can you be so bold? Quick! Let go! If you dare hurt Ben, not only will you be against all of Neptuna, but also Ms. Lotus! Are you seeking death?!"

Remus sneered. "If he doesn't apologize, not only will I form grudges with all of Neptuna and Ms. Lotus, I will become an enemy of the whole world!"

That was who Remus was. He didn't mind being wronged. When it came to the people around, no one could inflict even the slightest grievance!

Again, the crowd was shocked!

Was he a madman? He had to be. With such a wild personality, no wonder he was behind bars!

Jean inexplicably felt touched by Remus' words. She bit her lips and looked at Remus, thinking, "He actually said that for me?"

"Ahhh…" Brianne screamed in anger. "You scoundrel! How dare you scold my daughter for this wretched girl?"

"Can he not?" Jean looked at her.

"Be quiet!" Brianne was outraged. "Who are you? How dare you think you speak to me!"

Remus calmly said, "Tell her. Tonight, you will be qualified to talk to whoever you want!"

Then, Jean faced everyone and slowly said, "My name is Jean Lotus!"
