Stefani stretched her body until there was a loud crackle. She looked down at herself before sobbing. "Mama..." She felt so sick that she could hardly move. The confined space of the prison and the hard mattress had tortured her all this time.

Melani looked at her daughter with pity. She immediately hugged her and said, "Shang, you're so poor." The woman teared up as she stroked Stefani's slightly tousled hair. Her daughter had missed a lot of treatment while in prison, which was why she now looked pale and dishevelled.

On the waiting room chairs in the austere police station, the mother and daughter embraced each other tightly. Stefani still felt the pain in her waist and noticed her skin had become dull.
