Chapter 33

After watching Laura's lover leave, Marco sat back in his chair quietly. He didn't want to interfere and add to the problem by caring for other people's actions. To be honest, he didn't care. He was just preventing things from getting worse.

But as it turned out, the woman Marco had helped sat beside him without permission. The woman lowered her head so that her black hair hung slightly forward. She rubbed her face roughly and took a strong breath. "I've worked hard to make it like it is now!" she complained with her eyes closed.

Marco didn't want to care and only glanced at her. However, the woman continued to babble in a frustrated tone. "He was just an ordinary student, and I worked so that he could continue his studies. I was determined to make him successful, and he promised to marry me when he did. I was very patient and always supported him. But look what he's done now!"
