Chapter 7

At that moment, Stefani laughed amusedly. She didn't expect Marco to make such a joke. Stefani's face turned red from laughing too much. She sneered cruelly. "Marco, you're right. This must be a fake black card, right? A tramp like you is so smart to think of something like that."

A low sigh escaped Marco's mouth. He raised the black card until it was level with his face. "This card is real."

The card was dove black in color with an elegant gold pattern. Marco's name was printed on the corner of the card. Marco pointed at it. "This is my card. My name is written here."

Stefani's face became ugly. This was the worst joke she had ever received. "Marco, if you're going to lie, don't lie to me. Your name is Marco, but your last name doesn't start with a G. You're Marco Santana."

Stefani suddenly covered her mouth. "Oops... I let it slip. I'm sorry for revealing your secret!"

She smiled, but it was evident that Stefani was mocking Marco.

The corners of Marco's lips twitched. He didn't know he was a Gallahad before. So, he always introduced himself as Marco Santana. His identity card also contained the name Santana, his mother's surname. Despite being showered with derogatory glares from Stefani and Evan, Marco remained calm. "This is my grandfather's card. Of course, with my identity as his grandson."

Stefani's laughter echoed. If anyone else had heard it, they would have believed it. However, Stefani had been in a relationship with Marco for years. She knew a lot of things that people didn't. "I don't believe it! I remember now. I used to tell you about the Black Card. I'm even more convinced that you made it yourself. You must have made it yourself!"

Marco frowned. Why was this woman's mind filled with petty things? That was nothing like the Stefani he knew. "What would I do something stupid like that for?"

Stefani's eyes bulged. "Of course, it was to come after me! You can't live without me. You parasite!"

"That's not important." Marco's gaze shifted to the  salesgirl. He thrust the black card again.  However, after hearing all that, the waiter hesitated. He reluctantly accepted the card.

"Can you guarantee this card is genuine, sir?" the salesgirl asked carefully. He did not offend the customer.

Marco smiled. He knew the doubt in the waiter's heart. "How would you know if you didn't try it?"

Hesitantly, the waitress finally picked up the card. He looked at the card. It seemed genuine and luxurious. However, in all the time she had worked here, she had never encountered a single customer who used such a card.

On the other hand, Stefani and Evan continued to sneer at Marco. Just like the hoverer, they had never seen such a card before either.

"I've never seen a card like that," Evan said scornfully.

Stefani laughed sarcastically, showing her rows of white, clean teeth. "Only a fool would ever claim to have seen a card like that! I've seen many black cards before and never seen anything like that!"

Marco's face remained calm. If it was a fake, he didn't need to bother. He could simply call Will, who was on guard in the basement.

Marco's gaze returned to the salesgirls. "Do it, I'm busy. If you don't finish it, how can I leave?"

The salesgirl nodded. His face still showed an apparent hesitation. She even looked at her friends a few times. If this card was fake, all the clothes Marco had picked up were automatically canceled. This meant that they would have to clean up after him without making any profit! However, the salesgirl still tried to be professional. "G-good, sir. I'll get it done."

The black card was attached to the payment machine. There was a click, meaning the payment had been completed. The salesgirl could only hold his breath. He was surprised but happy at the same time.

This was a transaction for 2 million dollars! Yes, two million dollars! And it doesn't require a pin to complete?

The salesgirls's heart was beating fast. She had made the right decision by not offending Marco. Her hands were pounding as she handed the card to its owner.

"G-guest, thank you." The salesgiel became very nervous. This young man in front of him was a young master from a wealthy family.

Not noticing the salesgirl's nervousness, Marco remained relaxed. He accepted the card and put it straight into his wallet like it was nothing.

Meanwhile, Stefani's face became very ugly. This was a two-million-dollar transaction. How could a poor guy like Marco possibly get it done? She was angry, she was furious. There was a hint of pain beginning to creep into her heart.

"How is it possible?" muttered Stefani. Both hands covered her mouth, still unable to believe this was real.

Evan stood up with shame filling his soul. He had insulted Marco cruelly earlier. Even though Marco had been humbly willing to advise him, he had still insulted him cruelly. This was their first meeting. He could have established a relationship with Marco if he had been willing to leave Stefani. However, she could only regret it. She had ruined her career path!

"Who are you?" Evan asked.

Marco stood proudly, showing his dominance. "You're not the important person who needs to know my identity!"

It was like a hard slap to Evan's face.

Shamelessly, Stefani said confidently. "That card... that card should be mine!"

Startled and worried that something was wrong with his ear, Marco scratched it. "I didn't hear wrong? This card is yours?"

Stefani raised her face, showing a great deal of confidence. "Yes! You've been maltreating me! You must hand over the card as compensation!"

Marco almost vomited blood when he heard that. This woman... this woman has a thick face!

Marco's face turned fierce. He hated bringing up his past, even if it was only yesterday afternoon. He advanced until there was only a step between him and Stefani. "Do you think I care? Did you treat me well back then?"

"Of course! You never had any money and became a hitchhiking son-in-law! You were just a trashy guy before, and it disgusted me! You have to compensate me for disgusting me!" Stefani's words were spoken in such a frontal manner. The salesgirls were shocked.

Marco took a glance at Evan. "If you want treasure, the man beside you must-have treasure to please you!"

"I don't have any more money to spend. Sorry, Stefani. However, I think today's shopping is enough." Evan looked resigned as he said it.

Stefani was angry. Her eyes were so red that her body trembled. The people there looked at her with disgusted faces, like they were looking at trash. With all the shame she endured, Stefani turned around, leaving quickly while cursing Evan. "You idiot! You're completely useless!"
