Fristborn felt a wave of terror come upon him. He had not expected Asmodeus to possess Cara and he of all people knows how dangerous a demonic possession was. His father was a demon and the harmful effects of the act were not alien to him.

Fristborn materialized back into the physical world. He could already see the effect of Asmodeus's act on the world. Somehow, the sky had turned even more lonely and the moonlight had retreated behind the clouds. It looked like it was going to rain.

A good sign or a bad one?

What could he do? How could he stop the situation? The Demon was way more powerful than he was and now that the demon also controlled the Phoenix, defeating it was utterly impossible for him alone.

He needed help but where was he going to get that? He could not find the members of the resistance yet. They had made sure they hid very well even from him. The closest place he had in mind was the royal palace, but he had serious doubts that the doors to the palace would be opened to

"Let me go! You do not realize what you are doing."Fristborn yelled at the king who simply chucked at his audacity. Him, a common mage, yelling at the most powerful and important man in the kingdom? Maybe the brat should just be killed."Lock him up. When he is ready to talk, bring him out to me." King Garrick said to the silent ones that were holding him captive. Fristborn tried to use his magic but he had a very good reason to know that it would result in his immediate demise. The silent ones would kill him on the spot if he is perceived to be a threat. So he had to feign obedience and humility. It was for the good of everyone else, or so he told himself."Your highness, please reconsider. There is a powerful demon inside Cara at this moment. I know because I witnessed it myself. I was there was she returned from the Ethereal realm and what was standing there was not Cara. It was something else."Fristborn noticed the king's confusion when he mentioned the Ethereal realm. Fristborn watched as Asmodeus stepped inside. He had almost completely taken over Cara. Her supposed face was now red with pointy scales on it. She no longer had any eyebrows and her teeth were black and pointed. The silent ones arranged themselves into a formation as Asmodeus approached. He laughed as they did, but King Garrick stood tall. His head was raised and he looked like he did not have any fear. Fristborn admired him for that. The king was truly a great person."You have no place here, demon. You must leave her body and thus palace this minute."Garrick said to Asmodeus who simply kept on approaching. There was a mass of smoke forming around him as he approached. The silent ones readied themselves. Fristborn knew it was going to get dirty very soon."Sixteen long years I had been trapped in the shadows. I have watched from a distance as the world before me changed and transformed but I was there, stuck within this pathetic body..." He stopped and took a deep breath and slowl

"What the hell is he doing here?"Kay asked Fristborn and he sighed. She was visibly angry, he knew she was always angry but at that, it appeared as if all of the anger inside her had summed up. She took a daring step towards him and he just closed my eyes, trying to show her that he meant no harm."How can you bring that person here? What the hell were you thinking Fristborn?" She yelled again."I just need you to calm down Kay...""Do not tell me to fucking calm down! What is wrong with you? Recently you have been making terrible decisions that endanger the lives of everyone here. First, you bring in some random mage and now you bring in the king. The freaking king! The pillar behind our persecutions."She said and winced, pacing around before she settled back to him. The other mages in the room all looked at us. They shared her opinion but he knew he may be able to convince them."I Know you are angry. I am too. But this is a time when we need to stay together. We are fighting an

There was every indication that if they did not leave, the hideout might just collapse on them."Kay..."Fristborn called out to Kay as she kept directing people to the back. There was a secret way there, one that only leaders of the resistance have known. The secrecy was to serve as a checkpoint should any mage turn to sorcery. However, as Fristborn called out to her, she did not pay any attention. Was it because she did not hear him or because she did not want to listen?"Kay!"He called again but that time, she looked at him and approached."I have to go, Kay. There is a way we can end this. There is someone I must find. A mage. I have to leave."Fristborn said to her but she shook her head."No.. we need you here. You are our leader. "You didn't even ask for her name." Cara said to Alastair as they walked down the busy road. Their short time at the pub had not turned out the way Alastair hoped. She asked but he was silent."How do you know she is still waiting for you?" Cara asked again but Alastair still said nothing. She was right. He did not know. The town was a beautiful place, quite exotic as well.He did not know if it were the decorations, or the thrill in the air but he was certain that that town had seen alot of bad days in the past and they were trying to make out the future as best as they can. He could see a young woman and two kids which looked like they were hers. The woman glanced at him and smiled, a smile which melted Alastair's heart. Her head was bowed, her fists were clenched. Her nails were digging into her palms, although not enough to give her an injury, it still hurt.Maybe she wanted it to hurt. Maybe she just wanted to feel something at the end of the day. She had been so hollow ever since the fight. She could feel Asmodeus crawling around in her mind. She could feel the Phoenix slowly regressing. She could feel the terror that was coming, very one that she was destined to bring upon the world."Are you alright?" Alastair asked her, snapping her out of it. She nodded quickly and looked at him for a moment. "You look disturbed. Is there anything you would like to talk about?" An energy blast escaped from cara's body and hit all those that were in close proximity to her, James and Denise included. The force of the blast was so powerful that it took them off their feet and crashed them onto the ground. Cara let out a guttural growl as energy began to radiate from her body. The red, hot, energy began to gush out even more as her powers levitated her slowly. The growls continued, and so did the fear on lord Karl's face. He has never seen anything like that. He and his followers were not sure of what to do at that point. They slowly stood to their feet and watched as she stretched out her hand toward them. Her yellow eyes fell on them and with a sudden spark, her energy surged again. This time, it did not hit James and Denise.
