The carriage pulled up in front of a large house with a heavy-looking door. Like most houses in Pyra, the house had no compound of its own. The design of the streets and the houses were some of the things that amazed Blaize at the very beginning. They were good enough to catch his attention. Was that his wandering mind working, or was it his training from the Elderien's keep doing its wonders? He did not know. And he could not tell.Blaize and Victoria stepped out of the carriage. She was looking extremely ravishing in her blue dress. Her hair was nicely done and the smell of her perfume filled the air. Blaize and Victoria sat there in silence as Karl went on about what could be the profit of the job and the risks associated with it. He was saying so many things at the same time but Blaize's mind was fixated on Victoria. She was angry, she did not want to be there but he had forced her. Perhaps that would be their first fight But what could he have done? Let such an amount of money pass him by? He was not ready to make such a choice and since he needed money more than he ever had, he needed to take the job as well. Victoria could be annoyed, but even she had her eyes on the prize."So, you see? Nothing would go wrong on this job. I promise you." Karl said with a smile and Victoria Chuckled."Yeah? I have heard that before." She said to him but he did not reply. He frowned at her while she leaned in closer. "If this job is as easy as you say, then why didn't you use your men? I am certain you can come up with some of your people to do the job. Why did you ask for me?" She asked him.

Night came upon them faster than they had anticipated. By that time, they were already traversing the woods which according to Victoria, led directly outside Arynthion. According to her, there were also wolves in the wood and because of that, she suggested that they spent the night there.The air was cold and Serene by the time they had finished making a fire. Her shaky breath was the major thing that held Blaize's attention, and the fact that he could see a person inside the box and not pieces of jewelry made him confused even more. What was going on? Where were the jewelries? But Lord Karl did not really specify if the treasures were jewelry, did he? Was he aware of this? Of course, he was. He had set them up. He knew what they were transporting and he knew they probably would not have agreed to transport a live human out of the City without asking more questions.
