“Don't let me repeat myself! Why are you all standing idle and who's this funny dude?” Mrs Louise impassively mouthed, glaring her eyes against the three.
“So sorry Ma'am. He's the new intern and I needed to put him through…” Celine said in a frightening state. The atmosphere without a doubt felt the blaring weight of her voice. All production staff stiffened their faces and maintained their work posture.
“And so what? What's my damn business with who he is? Come on, he's just a mere intern. Your luck is that the other two junior staff are supervising the production process. I would have had you and Pierre dealt with,” she said with red in her eyes as she stormed out from the production department. Her tone was stern and cold.
Celine kept an apologetic gesture. Raphael and Pierre boldly stood staring back in her face.
Raphael's heart was filled with lots of scoffing as he beheld her displaying her Hollywood condescending tantrums.
“Who's she?” Raphael unavoidably asked his two newest buddies.
Celine breathed out to catch her breath. She was scared that Mrs. Louise would have her punished like she usually does to the staff at every slightest provocation.
“Chevalier, she's bad news. Don't fall into her bad books,” Celine sincerely requested from him.
She wouldn't be blamed for looking out for the newest intern staff, moreover, he doesn't know his true identity.
“She's Mrs Louise. The HR younger sister,” Celine further responded whilst staring around to be certain no one was eavesdropping on them.”
“The HR has successfully employed four of her relatives. Miss Louise, the Account Manager, and the two uncultured receptionists on the basement floor.”
She carefully gazed around again to be certain no eyes were fixed on them. “There have been speculations that Mrs. Louise, Mrs Elise, and the account manager have been embezzling the company's funds for a while. The few staff that tried to expose them got sacked before he could garner enough evidence,” she explicitly expressed to Raphael whose eyes were fixed on her.
He gazed at Pierre who nodded his head as a hint of approval to what Celine had said.
Instantly Raphael was engrossed with anger. The business his grandfather had built over decades.
This like-minded family chose to steal from. Should he blame his grandfather for being lenient? How would he? For heaven's sake, he has been battling with heart challenges and hasn't been at his best in overseeing his company like he should have.
‘I'll make them pay! It'll become their nemesis.’ Raphael mumbled his heart but strived to keep his cool to avoid his buddies deducing how pissed off he was.
He would have gone ahead to divulge his real identity to Celine and Pierre but needed to finish what he started. ‘Raphael, they must not know. At least not yet,’ he convinced himself to stay on track for the shortest time before his identity was made public.
He also noticed how firm Pierre was when Mrs. Louise came around to pull her mannerless stunt, he didn't flinch whatsoever.
All he did was stand and glance back at her. There was something uniquely strange about him that Raphael hadn't unraveled yet.
Raphael gazed around and noticed the levels of bottles strategically placed closer to the production team. “Why are there different types of bottles?” Raphael calmly inquired, drawing Celine lost attention back to reality.
Celine cleared her throat as her nerves had finally subsided. “The most popular champagne bottles are mini, which is usually 20CL. Look carefully you will see them thoroughly kept beside the team wearing blue outfits,” Celine continued with her tutoring speeches.
“We also have a standard bottle; which is 75CL. About six to eight glasses would contain it if poured. The production team in red are the ones who fill up the standard bottle which has the highest number of counted bottles in the production site because it sells faster than mini bottles," she kept unleashing her educative words.
Pierre stood like a bodyguard savoring the entire lecture episodes from his friend Celine.
Raphael didn't want her to stop either, she was good at what she did, and from how she demonstrated, the passion was imprinted in her.
She inhaled and exhaled calmly before she continued. “Dear Chevalier. Also, we have magnum; about 150CL, which is usually the biggest champagne bottle size. The production team on green are the ones in charge of filling them up,” her voice sounded firmly to Raphael's ears.
She winked at her two junior production manager co-colleagues who beamed at her to continue with her teachings whilst they kept an eye on the production team.
Thus far, in over one hour of finding his feet inside his father's company. He has made two good friends and has deduced a distinct family that has successfully monopolized the delicate departmental roles to their advantage.
Raphael, without being told, needs to smartly get prepared against them before they inflict more damage that The Lion Winery Industries mightn't recover from.
The bigger question is how would he swiftly accomplish this as time seemed not to be Raphael's friend. Or has it suddenly become too late?

Stamford Luxury Suites woke up with abrupt news of an emergency Staff and management meeting. All they knew was the founder would love to engage the staff in a prompt meeting.
Most of the staff didn't have the guts to be absent from the meeting unless you're strictly assigned to duty on that fateful date. Other staff despite their schedule must be present or get sacked.
“Honey. Do you know why the owner called for a meeting?” Mrs. Emma Moreau had to inquire from her husband who sat nervously beside her. “No dear. We're all as shocked as you are. Most times he usually passes information to my desk to disseminate. He stunned me with no clues of his intentions,” Mr. Laurent responded, gazing around the meeting hall in sight of other staff as confused as he was.
Indistinct words increased. Questions built up amongst themselves on why they were being summoned. They all couldn't wait longer to grasp what their overall boss had in stock for them.
Within five minutes, Mr Guillaume ambled into the hall in his glory. Light-skinned man, about 5'9fit, somewhat in his mid-50s. His demeanor was mild as he found himself in front of the puzzled staff.
The staff greeted him accordingly and he reciprocated with demanded courtesy. Laurent and his wife tried to unleash forced smiles from their cheeks to calm their nerves with the abnormality attached to the so-called impromptu meeting.
“Ladies and Gentlemen. Thank you all for making it despite the short notice. I don't take this for granted. You all have been incredible in the success story of my business and I applaud you all for your inputs and values,” he genuinely praised his staff. In return, they all chattered and smiled. Only if they knew the set of words yet to be unleashed from his mouth.
“I've decided to relocate to the Asian continent and focus solely on my other booming investments over there. Henceforth, one of the staff, that you all know will become the next owner of Stamford Luxury Suites,” The staff's eyes widened in shock.
Mr Laurent blushed uncontrollably. As the General Manager, he's the most rated person to own the company. “Honey, it seems like today would be a great day for us,” he happily said to his wife who joined in building excitement.
Mr Guillaume had a pause in words and gazed at the seated staff, that would likely be the last time he'd address them as their overall boss. His subsequent set of words would change the fate of the company and the staff itself.
“It's with my utmost respect to introduce to you all the new owner of Stamford Luxury Suites. It's no other person but…”
“Raphael!” he screamed his name with his mouth wide open.
BOMBSHELL!Laurent, who was almost lifting his feet to make his path towards the stage, sat back in shock. The staff rolled their eyes in uncertainty, their eyebrows raised in more confusion. Like what the heck is going on? Mrs. Emma held her husband's hands, her heart began racing in building shock. “Honey? Huh?” she hastily asked but got no response. Raphael majestically made his way towards the stage. He had been in the inner room behind the hall without anyone's knowledge. His demeanor was completely top-notch and exquisite. He didn't look anything similar to how he has been for the past six years. He painstakingly dressed up in a fashionable navy blue suit and classic white shirt with well-polished Testoni black shoes. Neatly shaved beards. He had always been good-looking; the only challenge he had was penury. Wealth was oozing from his outlook. Laurent, Emma, Marcel, and Andre all stole frightening glances at him whilst he stood beside Mr. Guillaume in an elated aura. It wa
They have never witnessed a miserable day as such. A few staff had already started recording the incident as Andre and Marcel's confessions were duly videoed as evidence of Raphael's innocence.“What they said was nothing but the truth. We were responsible for his unjust arrest. We teamed up with his ex-colleagues who were gullible enough to betray him. We also worked with the guest who visited the hotel just to accomplish one mission: indict Raphael and have him disgraced,” Mr. Laurent couldn't stare into the faces of Raphael, Mr Guillaume, and the rest of the staff as he gazed downward in profound shame. Mrs Emma held her husband as she couldn't control the rate at which her hands were profusely shaking. “We needed Raphael to divorce our daughter at all costs. We were tired of a penniless son-in-law and had to do all it took to make him lose his job and leave Chloe. We had already chosen a wealthy suitor for her and Raphael was bent on standing in our way," she explicitly expressed
“We're sorry Sir. You didn't deserve such disdainful humiliation for being innocent. We're sorry for not inquiring about what truly occurred that very day,” some of the guests who were still baffled by what had transpired reached out to Raphael with earnest apologies. Raphael inhaled and exhaled deeply in calmness and nodded his head in response to their pleas. He vehemently stared into their faces and beheld sincere beings who regretted not doing the civil endeavors to protect him from schemers. The staff and management in the restaurant all quickly gazed downward in shame. They couldn't afford to stare deep into the eyes of the man they all presumed was poor and did nothing when he was falsely alleged a thief. What could they possibly have done? The atmosphere was still engrossed with the shock of the abrupt revelation of Raphael's wealth. Who could have thought that the once so-called ex-Room service agent would own the same five-star hotel? Does it make sense? Raphael didn't
Mr Laurent sadly fell against the stone floor. His eyes were engrossed with a tinge of sadness and anger. He smirked at the fate of his family and all he could perceive was the worst ever scenario.Laurent Moreau and his wife Emma had managed the hotel for over a decade and have gained prestigious grounds from notable personalities across different provinces in Paris. Suddenly they've lost their jobs through their despised ex-son-in-inlaw?“Dad? Mum? Which Rapahel are you all talking about?” Chloe finally questioned. Since those words fell from her father's mouth she had wished it had better not be what she was thinking about.“Which Raphael! Huh?” she vigorously inquired once again, striving all she could not to lose her mind.“The…” Laurent was about to respond before his wife quickly waved at him to give her the honor of spilling the facts out clearly for their daughter.Mrs. Emma breathed out more mucus from her nostrils and wiped them off with the handkerchief she had with her.“
Laurent dumbfoundedly stared at his wife who in response gazed at Chloe. It pretty much seems like one of those Hollywood film tricks. Mr Leo gotta be kidding so they presumed in their hearts. The senior butler gently ambled from the flashy whip and parted the back seat door open for the man who was about to place Moreau's family where they right belonged.Raphael majestically leaned towards the car door and calmly thudded his right foot against the stone floor. He quickly wore his sunglasses well befitting with his choice of attire that very day.He intentionally cleared up his throat in contempt and pulled forth his other foot at where it should be. His chest swiftly out, his shoulders slightly up before he sauntered towards his ex-family in-laws' presence.Chloe uncontrollably had her mouth widened right from the moment she set her alluring eyes on Raphael. The same man whom she dumped and chose his younger stepbrother instead. Pathetic! The words from her parents were vehemently b
Raphael headed into his first acquired property to supervise the vigorous removal of The Moreau's properties into the streets where he vehemently needed them to be.“Get every piece that belongs to them and have it all removed. I don't need to see a material of theirs in my mansion,” Raphael stated his words clearly. He sauntered back and forth the living and beheld Moreau's possessions being thrown on the street.Laurent, Emma, and their daughter; Chloe had sprinted into the living room with their necks squeezed to vigorously plead for forgiveness in the hope that mercy would find them.It pretty much seems like the more they cry out for help the tendency of Raphael intensifying his revenge against them keeps burning mercilessly. The screams of pain from Laurent, Emma, and Chloe got the attention of the neighbors as some hastened to their balconies to deduce what was unfolding. The sight of their properties being thrown at the roadside was most humiliating. It also got the attention
Laurent, Emma, and Chloe hopelessly glanced as Raphael shut the gate before their teary eyes. It was crystal clear that Raphael had got some financial weight to pull up such a humiliating stunt against them.Raphael isn't done yet! He's got a lot in stock for them.Just when Emma and Laurent thought escaping from Stamford luxury and suites would save them from being pursued by Raphael. They didn't know he was unleashing his revenge right under their noses. The thought of having nothing to hold back on was driving them insane. All this while Raphael lived under their acclaimed roof, he's cognizant of all their business deals and contacts. The mistreated so-called pauper they have despised for half a decade has come back to hurt them right where they can't escape from. Terrible!Emma glanced at their disarrayed properties on the floor beside the gate and wondered if crying would make Raphael have a change of heart or influence the sympathy of the passersby who had kept their eyes fixed
Laurent promptly ordered whilst sprinting to intercept his daughter's audaciously intended hit against Emma.“Shit!” voices from the neighborhood echoed. “She nearly slapped her mum huh?” they continually mouthed in disbelief.Laurent shockingly stared at his wife; Emma, whose face was squeezed in a reflection to dodge her daughter's hit against her. Raphael wasn't far-fetched. He had headed to the royal bedroom which his ex-family in-laws once occupied and fed his eyes with Moreau's frustration.Despite the fact he enjoyed every moment of chaos occurring in their midst he was still baffled that Chloe could ever attempt to hit her mum. Like Chloe? Same girl who has been calm despite her parent's incessant reasons to have her divorce him.But finally, she gave in and did as planned. Would Chloe be vehemently blamed for falling into her parents' will? Or did her parents wish for her best in their staunch pursuit to have Raphael divorced?Emma's eyes darkened in disgust at Chloe's attemp
“In the course of the investigation, the president of France and other ambassadors from five South American countries got involved when they learned the esteemed Grand Lord, Raphael Gauthier, was also in the contest with The Ultimate Branded Champagne.”“I’m here to announce to y'all that we've acquired implicating evidence that over the last half a decade, Alexandre Petit has continually connived with twenty high-ranked staff of the European Winery Exhibition Contest to condemn justice and fairness, which has made him the winner in consecutive occasions!”The crowd slammed their voices in anger as they booed at Alexandre Petit with disdainful tongues.“In this year's edition, he had an accomplice by the name of Lucas Moreau, months back in agreement, they attempted to assassinate Raphael Gauthier and his stepbrother, Hugo Lambert. We have all the evidence and there's no hiding and running for them.Immediately his voice echoed. Multiple police officers who had strategically positione
THREE MONTHS ON… “Distinguished Ladies and Gentlemen, it's an honor to have y'all in attendance for over two hours at the European Winery Exhibition Contest, the world's most rated Winery contest ever to breathe!” The host exclaimed in profound esteem The crowd responded in a shriek of happiness and coherence. It was indeed an honor to be invited, and I would always go down memory lane. “This year’s edition has been for over one month and today being the final, y'all stayed till the last month when the winner would be announced!” “Today’s event commenced in four, the semi-finals, and down to two finalists: The Ultimate Branded Champagne and The Lion Winery Industries. Thank you for staying till when it mattered most!” Jubilation entrapped the distinguished guests as they shone their teeth in profound excitement. They couldn't wait to see who would go home with the esteemed prize of the decade. In great attendance were Raphael and Celine with a group of devoted supporters; t
“I don't care if I die the next minute or get arrested and pay for my crimes. As long as I divulge what has been hidden for decades, then my part has been done,” Hugo mouthed with a short gasp breath, his face gripped with sweat as he held onto his step-older brother. All along, Raphael had presumed his younger stepbrother was bluffing about having information to spill. It seemed like he had finally gotten his attention.“Really? You got any information?” his brows raised in keenness.Agathe waved at the medical personnel who sheepishly departed from the room. They had already overstayed. It's family time!“Yes, I do, dear brother…”“I know none of my words would change the past and the evil I've done to you, which led to the death of your mother, banishment, and many others, including sleeping with your ex-wife,” he spilled those hard words out. And once again, the ugly past flashed before Raphael’s face.Agathe strode towards him and patted his shoulder; she understood how painful i
For the greater good of his power and what it believes in, Hugo Lambert should be saved by his older stepbrother despite the pains he has inflicted. GrandLord Raphael Gauthier, in a state of pain and anger, understood that and had to do the needful.‘Hugo you've fought so hard against death. Time to come back to us,’ GrandLord Raphael Gauthier communioned with the deteriorated state of Hugo Lambert. He believed he could hear his words. One of the containers had a well-prepared honey with herbal ointment in it as his inner power whispered what he should do.Agathe Lambert muttered a thousand prayers in her heart as her hands shook in fear. She might not be a great fan of Hugo from inception but she wouldn't want him dead either. The medical personnel stood in disorientation as they beheld the unprecedented movie being played before their eyes.GrandLord Raphael Gauthier signaled Agathe Lambert, who assisted in slightly opening Hugo's mouth to enable him to pour the herbal medicine insi
Agathe Lambert was struck in a state of slight confusion and vibrantness. She quickly strode towards where Hugo Lambert had laid for over a week as his health deteriorated. The medical renowned doctors followed behind to witness what would unfold sooner. It wasn't a pretense that the medical experts had little or no hope of what the GrandLord could do differently. They engaged in indistinct communication amongst themselves while their faces were etched with doubts, disbelief, and slight confusion.Grand Lord Raphael Gauthier stood face to face before his stepbrother. He exhaled deeply with his eyes intentionally closed while he trailed his oil-soaked right finger on his chest towards his abdomen back to his chest and throat.Agathe Lambert instantly wondered what Raphael's right finger was doing on Hugo's chest. She somewhat feared that he might want to avenge what happened to his late mother. The medical personnel maintained their indistinct conversations with their heads and eye gou
She knew GrandLord Raphael Gauthier was quite an intentional human and wouldn't mouth those unexpected words if he didn't mean them. Nonetheless, she couldn't control how astonished she seemed. For a moment she gave up on GrandLord Raphael Gauthier ever believing her about Hugo Lambert or what he had to tell him. She believed the past ugly incident would cloud his judgment on believing her.“The more time we waste the less chance he has to survive the poison,” GrandLord Raphael Gauthier quickly spoke out.He promptly offered Agathe Lambert his right hand as an aid to lift herself off the ground. He went ahead and offered her a white handkerchief to wipe off her tears while she made efforts to stand. The driver had his mouth slightly opened at how he thought he'd soon head back to the mansion or the office. However, his boss had other plans for the day.“Why the sudden change of heart? I could swear you would have zoomed off without looking back,” Agathe Lambert hinted as her eyes popp
He tutted his lips even more in disagreement and displeasure with his lips curved in disbelief and contempt. He shook his head more often while anticipating what Agathe Lambert would say next. She wasn't making any single sense with her words about Hugo Lambert's poisoned state and his request to speak with him. Agathe Lambert temporarily went speechless while glancing at him and other gatekeepers who could grasp the building conversations.“Drop this trick to get me to heal him 'cause that's not happening. He caused the death of my mother. You wasted your time in making me come over,” GrandLord Raphael Gauthier blurted out while taking a step backward. He felt there were no more words left unsaid with his younger step-sister and got to head back to the mansion or, better still, see how Pierre was handling business in his absence. It was better than being at the wrong time at the wrongest time. Driving from the mansion on Agathe Lambert's request seemed like a waste of time.“Good day
“Several medical professionals have conducted several diagnoses, but he's none responsive to their treatments,” Agathe Lambert, after a few moments, uttered more words to establish clarity. She had anticipated to bark at her immediately when she uttered the last words or even an immediate response which he didn't. Hence, she had to delve back to words that would build stamina to whatever his thought organs were entertaining.GrandLord Raphael Gauthier intentionally kept mute and steadily set his sight on her believing she got more words unspilled. His eyebrows were raised more with his two hands placed across his waist while trying to make sense of where Agathe Lambert was driving.“Hugo?” he somewhat mouthed with his eyes blinking. “Poisoned?” His last words followed with a question. “By who?” GrandLord Raphael Gauthier promptly inquired with a somewhat calmer tone. “When?” he went further in striding towards the path of questions.Questions engrossed in inquiries which was all Grand
GrandLord Raphael Gauthier hastily mouthed with his eyebrows raised in building annoyance. He kept his sight steadily on Agathe Lambert striving to make meaning to her last statement. He knew she wasn't joking but needed a form of clarity in her speech.Agathe Lambert vividly remembered all that transpired between Grandlord Raphael Gauthier and Hugo and should be the last person to make such statements when the GrandLord is concerned.Agathe Lambert was somewhat confused about what to respond with as her gaze quickly dropped off. She reactively took two steps backward in perplexed thoughts. GrandLord Raphael Gauthier was swift enough to understand his younger step-sister's last action. He positioned his hand in an akimbo posture while still glaring at her.“I left my mansion for Hugo? That betrayer? You're kidding huh?” GrandLord Raphael Gauthier mouthed once more but his voice heightened this time.Still maintaining his body posture, he took one step forward in search of a response f
