Sheila stopped by her parents' place. She knew her parents would be worried. She stopped at the gate as she sighed, looking at the house. She sighed again before going inside. She entered the house and found everything quiet. She wondered where they all went. Normally, her father is either planted in his favorite sit watching the news or reading the newspaper while her mother is always everywhere and trying to get her father's attention. This was the first time the house was so quiet while everyone was home. It was usually noisy. She walked up the stairs trying to get to her father's sturdy room to check if her father was there when she heard music and laughter coming from the kitchen. She paused, confused at what they were before coming down the stairs to go check it out. She entered the kitchen, standing by the door. What she saw got her surprised and amused. Her parents were both cooking and dancing to the music playing in the background while her father whispered sweet nothings in
“Don't you think mum's beginning to grow balls lately?” Sheila asked her father.“Now that you've mentioned it, in beginning to see it,” Mr Hockings said, agreeing with his daughter.“Shut up you two,” Mrs Hockings said as Sheila laughed. Her mum wore her an apron. “You can help with doing something,” she added.“What can I help you with?” Sheila asked, looking around.“Just don't cut or cook anything. You can just wash the vegetables. That's if you can do that as well. We don't want to get poisoned,” Mr Hockings said as Mrs Hockings laughed fist bumping her husband.“Ha ha. Funny dad,” Sheila said as her parents both laughed. “Laugh all you want. It's nice to see you two are having fun at my expenses,” she said as they laughed harder. She had no choice than to join them. It was fun and refreshing.Sheila arrived a little bit late. She had to dress up at her parents house. Her mum helped to do her makeup. She was grateful when her mom ordered everyone not to talk about Abraham or any
“Where is Corner? I haven't seen him for a while now,” Mr Loveday asked, looking around for Abraham after hours of them chatting with Sheila.“Missing me so soon?” Abraham asked, joining the men as they laughed.“Where did you go, Corner? Your girlfriend has duped us of our money. You weren't even there to save us,” another man who Sheila found out his name was Frank Benedict cried out. He was jovial and funny but Sheila knew they were all putting up a front. The real demons were hiding within them.“Come on Frank. There's no way I can certainly finish all your money. I hear you're very wealthy and famous within the ladies too,” Sheila said, nodding towards a group of ladies who were all vying for Frank's attention. The men all laughed.“That's actually not my kind of scene. I tend to stay clear of all women. I find them to be troublesome and chaotic,” Frank said, shaking his head.“I can see you all are enjoying the company of my girlfriend,” Abraham said, looking at Sheila who paid
“Oh! You're still awake? I thought you would be asleep,” Mrs Hockings said softly.“Well, you called me at the right time,” Camila said, closing the door quietly as she walked through the hallway arriving at the stairs. “I couldn't sleep and there's nothing to do. I was becoming bored out of my mind. Thanks for calling,” Camila said, arriving at the kitchen.“Sheila told us everything that was going on. Are you okay?” Mrs Hockings asked as Camila looked surprised.“Sheila told you everything?” She asked as Mrs Hockings paused for a while.“Yes, she did. Is that a problem?” Mrs Hockings asked quietly.“No, it isn't. I'm just surprised she told you all knowing who she is,” Camila said as Mrs Hockings chuckled.Yeah! I think it's because of what happened before. She says she doesn't want me to spoil her plans in the future. So I have to be careful,” Mrs Hockings explained.“I'm sorry I placed you in a difficult situation,” Camila apologized sincerely.“It's not your fault. Remember, I wa
“Ahh, that's the lady we were all waiting for,” Mr Loveday said as Sheila smiled, joining the men.“I heard you all were already leaving. I hope you all had a wonderful time?” Sheila asked as they laughed.“They most certainly did. Don't bother yourself about it,” Abraham said. Sheila noticed Duncan kept staring at her so she whispered to Abraham.“Why does that man you hate so much keep staring at me?” She asked as Abraham clenched his jaws.“Don't pay attention to him. Ignore him,” Abraham said as they watched everyone leave. Sheila left for her room. When she was on the last stairs, Abraham called her.“What are you going to do with the money you got?” He asked as she turned to him from up.“What has that got to do with you? It's my money, so I'll use it as I please. Don't bother asking about it. I hope you aren't sad that I won't be needing you to send me or my family money anymore?” Sheila asked as she smiled seeing the reaction she got from Abraham. “Don't worry. You can still s
Sheila woke up very late as she stretched on her bed. This was one of the best sleep she has had so far as she sat up, smiling looking outside the window. She got out of bed thinking about what she'll do today as she entered the bathroom doing her morning routine. She came out preparing to take a shower but deciding to use the tub. She called a maid to come up to her room while looking for what to wear today. She was really in a good mood. She was still looking for what to wear when a knock was heard on the door.“Yes, come in!” She shouted as the door opened and the maid came in.“You called ma'am?” She asked as Sheila nodded.“Yes, I did. I want you to run my bath for me. I want scented candles around with rose petals on the water with a bottle of champagne as soon as possible. So, hurry up and get it,” Sheila ordered as the maid nodded, leaving. Sheila went back to what she was doing. “What should I wear?” She asked herself seeing the amount of clothes she had while the maid did wh
Camila woke up with a splitting headache as she stayed on bed, wrapping herself with the blanket.“Here, take this,” Keith said, handing over some drugs for a hangover to her.“Thank you,” Camila said, taking it from it as she swallowed it, taking the cup of coffee he bought for her and sipping from it. “As usual, you know me best,” Camila said, smiling at Keith.“Mrs Hockings, no?” He asked as she stared at him then sipped her coffee.“Scold me later Keith. I'm having a bad headache and so I need your love and care now,” Camila whined as Keith shook his head looking at her.“Okay, stay still. I'll make something for you but I'm not letting this discussion pass by,” he told her, pointing a finger at her.“Okay, whatever,” she said, pouting as he left to prepare something for her to eat.Camila was still on her bed when Keith came in with breakfast on bed.“That's my man,” she exclaimed happily, smiling at him.“Whatever you're doing isn't working. We're going to have the conversation
Keith and Camila went out, meeting Mrs Genevieve at a restaurant.“What did you say happened to Camila?” Mrs Genevieve asked, looking at Camila with concern. Camila smiled, shaking her head softly.“It's okay Mrs Genevieve. I'm doing great,” Camila said with a smile.“If Keith isn't taking care of you properly then tell me. I'll pull you out and get you a man who can do the job without hassle,” Mrs Genevieve said, shocking Keith.“Mind what you say Mrs Genevieve. Ask her why she's not well and then, you'll see why you shouldn't blame me about anything,” Keith said huffing as Camila and Mrs Genevieve chuckled.“Okay Camila. Tell me what happened?” Mrs Genevieve asked.“Well, I drank. I think so,” Camila answered as Keith glared at her.“If she's not going to tell you, then I will,” Keith said, sitting up while Camila pinched him.“How can you throw me under the bus like this? You're supposed to hide your partner,” Camila said as Keith scoffed.“I don't see that happening,” Keith answer
