Chapter Sixty One

“What took you so long?” Keith questioned as he watched Camila return to stand at the spit beside him.

Camila offered him a smile of innocence, reaching for the glass of wine between Keith's fingers, and immediately drowned the contents.

Keith eyed her with keen interest with a brow raised, “Someone's thirsty,” he teased watching her set down the cup.

Camila nodded, “The trip to the ladies’ room was quiet_,” she trailed off and tapped her chin as if searching for the right word, “Eventful.”

The lightness on Keith's face vanished quickly, replaced with a look of worry, “What happened? Did you run into you know who?”

The corners of Camila's lips pulled upwards, “No, I did not run into you know who, Keith. It was eventful because I had a bit of a problem searching for the ladies’ room,” the lie rolled off Camila's tongue easily.
