Chapter Twenty Five

Keith kept his eyes on Camila as she spoke to one of the guests about her work. He watched how her eyes brimmed with pride each time the man complimented her, the way her resolve would go down a little when she laughed. She seemed less stiff, a clear sign she was relaxed. But the reason Keith was not fuming with jealousy while she conversed with another man was because he caught her glance in his direction more than once as she talked with the other man.

Whenever he would meet her gaze his chest filled with a sense of pride that she was acknowledging him. But that didn't mean he still didn't want to bury his fist into the man's face for using up part of the time he was supposed to be spending with Camila.

“Pretty girl you've got there,”

Keith reluctantly dragged his gaze off Camila and twirled around to face Mrs. Genevieve. She was dressed in another dress from the one she had on earlier, he noted and her makeup was also now lighter and neutral looking.
