Chapter Twenty Nine

“What problem?” Sheila asked, her face marred with a frown as she took her attention from Frank to her father. She dropped her purse onto the center table.

A gasp pulled all their attention away from Mr. Hockings to face Mrs. Hockings, “Sheila, what happened to your face?”

Instinctively, Sheila raised her hand to her face to cover it. “It's not important.”

Mr. Hockings dropped the files he was holding and matched to where Sheila was standing then pushed her hand off to examine her face. “Did this bastard hit you?” He glared at Frank advancing towards him.

Sheila immediately got between them, “No Dad, can we please talk about this later? Let's discuss the problem first.”

Mr. Hockings doesn't look convinced but backs away, “This better not be your doing Frank, or you are a dead man. Mark my words.”

Frank didn't flinch as he watched with no reaction.

“Your father ran into problems with some of his investments,” Mrs. Hockings explained.
