Chapter Twenty Seven

All eyes turned to Sheila where she stood poorly hidden behind the pillar, her eyes grew wide with fear as the armed men positioned themselves to face her and aimed their weapons at her. She gulped down nothing, the hair at the back of her neck was standing straight and a shudder went down her spine.

This is not good, Sheila thought to herself, glancing around swiftly for an escape. Her gaze met briefly with Keith who sat with his legs crossed regarding her with a smile that made Sheila realize she had indeed made the wrong move coming in, she should have listened to Frank.

“There is another one, boss,” A firm voice snapped everyone's attention from Sheila, and Sheila's eyes grew wide, the last ounce of hope she had deserting her as a man in a black suit shoved Frank into the center, holding him at gunpoint.

She thought of making a run for it, but the cold metal that was pressed against her lower back killed the plan faster than a lighted matchstick.
