Unknown Point Of View
"What day is it?" He asked, using a stick to beat a rock lightly out of frustration. But he isn't as frustrated as I am.
"Day hundred?" Milicent replied with a doubt.
"No! It isn't!" A voice said from the crowd.
"Then what day is it?" I asked yelling. My voice, carrying the anger I was hiding from my face.
"I think two hundred!" The voice exclaimed and all heads turned to her direction.
"You say what?" Charlotte asked, surprised.
"What has day got to do with our situation? It won't solve anything and instead will keep on increasing if we don't act fast. Who knows what before us now!" Eunice exclaimed. That got everybody and she was right, we don't know what we will face when we take the next few steps.
"Let us all stay prepared and alert, something might appear from anywhere, you know that right?" The timid girl said, now she has something to talk to the group about. It isn't her fault.
"As always!" The big guy in our midst yelled from the back.
"This is a daily talk, it has become a routine so why remind us? If you have forgotten then just say it to yourself. We don't need your constant reminder, you aren't a clock or alarm for crying out loud!" I yelled angrily. They might not understand why I have been on edge for days now but why won't I be? I have been struck in this damn place for more than fifty days and I don't see my release or escape coming soon.
"Not we but you or I, please personalize it. You can't talk for me, you don't know what I want or don't want, so next time think before opening your mouth," a lousy ugly duckling said confidently.
Her twin sister tapped her lightly on her arm to call her to put.
"Ouch! What?" She replied her with a glare.
"Don't do that Mia!" Amy said to her.
"Like I give a shït!" She uttered before stomping away. I hope you step on those little rope holder.
"Anddy, can you get yourself together? Everyone is on edge here and irritated, do you think we like our situation? No, we don't, I don't! I miss home like crazy and I will do everything and anything to get my ass out of here," Joyce said, trying to comfort me. But instead of it to do that, it was rubbing off in the wrong way. Wrong effect, extra irritable.
"Haaaa! F^çk Carolina!" I groaned out long. "This is all her fault," I yelled, coiling more into myself. My legs hurt from seating with my kneels bent for long. How long? I have lost count, the place encourages memory lost.
"Teach has nothing to do with this, it isn't her fault!" Joyce said convinced of what she was saying.
"What?" I yelled at the top of voice. Now, everyone was barely paying attention to me.
"Hey! Ya! Mind yourself! You could wake up those hungry deadly demon with your unnecessary tantrums," Mia yelled from where she sat on a branch. Isn't she scared if the branch is just a sleepy rope holder creature.
"Like I f^çking care? Everyone is still going to freaking die here," I reassured her.
"Oh! So you are the next?" She asked with a smirk
"What?" Everyone echoed while I stared at her eyes wide opened.
"Let me go!" She mumbled as her sister firmly closed her (Mia's) mouth with her hand (Amy's).
"Than f^çk you all," I announced, getting on my feet simultaneously, "goodbye. Meet you at heaven or the gate of hell," I reassured them.
"You will only wait at the gate of hell for long because you won't see anybody," Mia yelled at my back and different eyes drilling holes into my back. After few steps forward in the only visible path, I felt someone's hand brush my neck lightly before grabbing my collar and pulling me very hard to the back which made me land on my butt.
"What the hell?" I yelled.
"Thud!" A large piece of rock just landed on the very spot I was before being pulled. I looked back and saw him looking at me with concern. Fake!
"What the hell?" I yelled before landing him a punch on the nose.
"Like seriously?" He yelled back at me, holding his nose before pulling him up.
I rushed up and gave him a second one quickly but before the third one could touch him, my hands were grabbed and pulled to the back.
"Let me go, you freaks! Let me go, won't you hear?" I struggled in their hands but they dragged me to my former spot before I left, sat me and tried my hands and legs with some weird cord.
"What the hell? What the meaning of this?" I yelled continuously.
"He just saved you even though I wanted you dead!" She announced.
"Mia!" Everyone called, surprise by her utterance which I'm not baffled about. Left to only me and her in this unidentifiable place, I will let her go or die even if she was savable. We share a very mutual feeling towards one another.
"But it is the truth, why won't you guys buy it?" She asked, pacing about.
"Come Mia, if he is a jerky jerk, that doesn't mean you should be, yourself, just leave this piece of shït alone," Biggy contributed.
"Haha! Haha! You are so funny, Biggy, oh… no… it isn't Biggy but loverboy, sorry it skipped my mind. She will never ever look at you, but you can keep up the good work, others will earn from it." I said to him, laughing still.
"I have told you countless times, I am not Biggy but…" he was saying.
"Brian. Brian not Biggy!" I joined him to complete the statement.
"You are a funny guy!" I said laughing seriously. "Talking to you guys is fun and lovely," I added. "Now, can you freaking untie me, I am not some sacrificial lamb," I yelled "game over. This ridiculous game is over!" I added, yelling.
"Guys! It is getting late and you know we can't be here for too long, I think we should start move. We've rested enough even if we had a little trouble but we are prepared right?" Saya, Class rep, said with her usual authoritarian voice.
Everyone left me and went for their bags, their little worthless weapons and anything they think is useful for the next phase. He walked up to me and dropped my bag on my tried legs.
"Seriously Andrew, you have to let things go and focus on getting out of this place. It was a terrible mistake, I am not happy myself about what happened, I just happened to be a used machine for that moment," he said explaining some gibberish to me, it was ununderstandable.
"Get. The. F^çk. Out. Of. My. Face!" I lightly yelled at his face before spitting at him.
"Eww!" He cried before cleaning away the liquid mucus sliding down his nose.
"This is stupid Andrew, you have to stop and let it go," he exclaimed.
"Let what go? Over my alive and dead body!" I exclaimed.
"What?" He questioned.
"Yes! You heard me right, even when I'm dead, I won't let go and will forever haunt you for it unless you go before me," I announced.
"This is a meaningless discussion, let have this discussion when we have successfully gotten out of this place, let's focus on getting out," he said before smiling.
"Keep your rotten smile to yourself, there will never be a meaningful conversation between us and either of us is leaving this place alive and I will never let you leave this place alive. You are dead to me," I threatened him but he was unwavering.
"So you know for a sure that we aren't having meaningful conversation, well we will see about who gets out life or not," he said before stepping away from me. He couldn't even loose me free before going, I picked the knife he placed in between my legs in my front and struggled with the cord. While I struggled, others just stood there watching me hopelessly. They were the one who tried this trash to my wrist.
"Have you guys resolved it?" I heard Mia say to him. A lousy person can never whispered well but always lousy.
"No! I don't think he wants to," he replied her. I could feel his glares on me. "I don't think he wants to patch things with me ever!" He added after a few awkward silence.
Oh! I'm so glad that he knows that, there is never going to be a resolution either are we patching things dead or alive.
"Really?" They continued like I wasn't some feet away from them.
"The matter now have the living and the dead involved," I heard. Of course, they are. They are involved.
"What!?"
"Hey guys, let move it!" Saya yelled like she was use a trumpet or horn or something. Oh, she truly was.
I got up immediately and started leading the group into another phase, find the door, go in, face whatever creature we have face and move on, as simple as that but people still end up dying.
The unknown journey was stressful and quiet. Everybody was trying very hard to be quiet and still talk with their 'fans' while some of us just have to endure this long boring trip because we have no one. And this is all his fault and I will make sure he pays in all kinds, ten thousands folds. Yes! Not one nor ten either hundred nor thousand but ten thousands.
I heard heavy footsteps behind me and became alerted, extra alerted, and stylishly draw my made up stick sword. It was useless but better than appearing before any creature bare handed. I felt the thing or person touch me on the shoulder, cold touch it was. I swung my sword towards their direction and it was Joyce, she was fast enough to dodge my attack.
"Take it easy, cowboy!" She said, laughing. How do you laugh when few minutes ago you almost got hot by a wooded sword?
"I am no cowboy, cowboys tends over farms and cows but you obviously see no cows here," I said to her before I started walking at her front.
"Haha! Whatever! Nothing is creeping behind you without our knowledge, so we gat your back, just tend to your front," she explained.
"You know that's not true, if anything creeps behind me, I'm left to myself," I said to her when something quick flash before me then into the walls. What could that be? I gripped my sword harder.
"No, don't think so. Even Mia that seems to hate your gut gat your back, she is just pissed that your grudge against Ulric is hard and high. And you know grudges are forbidden here, so…" I tried to explain but I suddenly lost interest when I heard his name. I will necomplainedver call him by his name, ever!
"Oh, please Joyce! If you are here because of him then off my back, bro!" I exclaimed to henot just him alone," she whichr.
"Come on, Andrew! What has he done to you for you to hold such massive amount of grudge against him? Ulric has apologized on so many occasions but you are just too stubborn headed. Besides, it for your own good to get rid of the grudge, not just him," she explained. I'm not even surprise, when did he become so special that everyone wants me to forgive him.
"What!" I uttered as I turned to look at her. "Are you saying what he did wasn't wrong?" I asked, confuse. What's wrong with this people?
"He is not in the wrong, he tried to protect himself. It was self defense in plain grounds," she explained.
"What!" I uttered again, shocked!
"Come on Andrew!" She said trying to touch me.
"Don't!" I said harshly before turning away from her and walking away.
I saw something running quickly in front of me after taking few steps away in anger. It ran again to the other side, a shadow running in flash, then again.
"Everybody! I think them are awake! Be alert and re…" I heard Saya screamed from her position in the middle. I just tripped on something.
"Andrew!" Everywhere echoed as they all shouted my name but I wasn't there.
"Haa!" I was falling deep. It's black and chilling cold!
Ulric's Point Of View"Oh my God!" "Where is he?""Andrew!" We were all calling out to him."What happened? He was here one minute and he wasn't the next minute," I asked Joyce, she seems terrified. Visible shaking!"I don't know," she replied before she started crying."I was just talking to him when he lost it and started walking away when he stop suddenly and started looking to his left and right, gripping hard to his sword then he tripped and fall then boom, he was swept off," she explained still crying while my eyes survey our environment for the creature I saw earlier."I should have paid more attention to what he was looking at than at him or instead quickly try to help him when he fell," she complained."You did your best, Joyce! You can't blame yourself or anybody for anybody's death here," I consoled her but it wasn't working."It's fine! It's going to be fine! It will," I said reassuring her but more to myself."Guys!" Saya screamed, startling all of us but I knew where it
Ulric's Point Of View"Maya!""Clark?""Maya Clark?""Maya Clark!""Mas!!!" Kunl yelled, surpassing our voices."We could have just pass the bush instead of here, we don't know what we might face here! What if those shadow creatures reside here? You see how one of them stood before the stream the other time," Milicent emphasized."Then you shouldn't have come in anyway," Mia yelled but she was facing the other direction. What is she playing?"Are you talking to me?" Milicent called out to her, getting upset."Miss, can you just shut your trap and focus on the damned mission?" Mia questioned still looking at the other side."You are obviously not talking to me," Milicent said."Who is the rat making noise?" Mia questioned before turning to look at her."What?" Asked Millicent. These two shouldn't have been chosen in anywhere, Mia should have been left behind but everyone was visible trying to avoid being called out by Saya. If Milicent had stayed back, obviously Amy will chop her head
Ulric's Point Of View"Ya! Ya! It's timeeeee!" The usual alarm my mom refused to change came screaming into my ear. I haven't still gotten used to it after four years!"Ugh!" I groaned as I got out of bed and shut the brat up. "Not your fault!" "Ulric!" Someone yelled before barging into my room."Haven't you learnt to knock yet?" I asked without turning to the intruder or intruders."Good morning!""Good morning!" In a singy tone."Ya! Same to yous, now get out of my room," I said finally turning to them."Yous? There is nothing like yous!" Ulrika said, as expected."He meant you with a s which is supposed to stand for the plural form of you," Ultan explained."Ohh!""Don't make me explain again, you heard me right?" He said to her."Yes, sir!" She yelled, saluting to him."Whatever! Leave my room, now!" I yelled pushing them by the heads out of my room before slamming the door to their faces. They kept knock as I walked into the bathroom to have a quick shower after which I threw m
Ulric's Point Of View"I'm skeptical about this said field trip and your dad," my mom said with worry all over her face."It's fine, Mom! It's going to be fine!" I reassured my mom, patting her lightly on the shoulder."We are going to miss you, Ulric!" Ulrika and Ultan said simultaneously from the back where they were sitting."Awwn! I will miss you guys too and your unnecessary troubles but I surely will be back by tomorrow evening, latest. So don't miss me too much," I said to them before ruffling their hair. "Then who will play video games with us? We have nobody to do that with us," Ultan asked. "Oh, you can always ask Ultima to help you," I said to them."I have to go now," I announced. I could see people filing in one after the other with their camping bags. "Be safe baby boy and always remember we love you," Mum said looking concerned. What's wrong? I'm worried because my mom's gut feelings are becoming more serious."Of course I know this and what's with all this talk like
Ulric's point of view 'DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING!' Kept echoing in the cave as we all stood in pitch darkness. Someone was screaming from afar. What just happened? "So guys, I will love to commend you guys for a job well done, you all took the storm by the head and I am quite surprised by some, like Andrew. Who would have thought that Andrew the great Andrew will help? That's surprising but all the same thanks for being a help in needful time," Teach Carolina said. We were standing in front of the said cave, by the front of the door where its stones appear different from the rest of the body. I was just taken away by the pattern of the stones on the wall of the cave, it looked like it was drawn or carved by someone or some people. "Hey!" Andrew called out to me, hitting me by the side. "What?" I snapped, he just pulled me from my world. "Are you even listening?" Jack asked me as I stared at a particular pattern on the wall. It was so mesmerizing, the pattern was all linked to one an
Ulric's point of view One thing I know for a fact is, it will be hard surviving this place because why the hell will she just die? She was fine when we came, totally fine! But now, she isn't moving anymore nor breathing. Her friends aren’t helping matters, we have been trying to revive her for the past ten minutes, no response, no pulse, no heart movement. "She is dead!" Elian announced for the umpteenth time today. He isn’t helping matters either. "We get man! We get it, so please just shut up," Jack shouted at him from where he was sitting criss crossed, beside me. It sounded far off. Weird! For some reasons best unknown to me, I wasn’t just motivated to move from where I was and do anything, even to preserve my image. "Come on man, don't say that," I warned, using the noisy background to my favour. "Don't, please!" He came off harshly. "Hartley! Please!" There was a loud piercing cry. This definitely broke the Ey girls' heart, I haven't seen them this distraught since I knew
Ulric’s Point Of View "What time?" "Time to wait and see!" She announced. "See what?" Her sister asked her. "Why are you interrogating me? You just wait and see," she said. "Day one? Are we going to be here for long?" Lucy asked. Mia's words had finally caught her attention and made her voice out. "We don't know, baby girl but there is a possibility seeing that the door hasn't been opened by now. How long have we been locked in here?" She asked, suddenly sitting up and looking at everyone in an expectant manner. "Probably two hours?" Chris interjected. "Two hours?" Some of them chorused. "I think it took more than two hours," Mia said, lying back on the ground. She definitely is shameless to lie on the bare ground. "Why did you say that?" Saya asked. "When the door shut initially, there was a space out. I felt I zoom out but realisation came and everyone sort for light and the rest," she explained. She also felt what I felt. "Then we don't have to be here!" Maya announced.
Ulric’s Point Of View “Hell no!” "Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!" Charlotte cried. Everybody was saying one or two things as they realised that we were fucked up. There was no returning door, we couldn't go back to where we were a while ago, it hadn't even been up to five minutes. We don't even know where we are anymore, this might look like we are standing in what someone might call the entrance to the woods but this isn't normal. This isn't supposed to be, how can the woods be in a cave? This defies all odds, scientifically, physically, and so on or maybe not mentally because our minds can be playing games with us now and we might not know. But I'm not surprised because this cave has been full of shitty wonders since I stepped or rather set my eyes in this cave, from the first day this trip was announced. "Why did you drag me here? Why did you pull me with you? Just why?" I heard someone cry bitterly, hitting someone on the chest. Oh! It was the Justal couple, Justin and C
