School Reunion

Since Jeff stayed at home for a year before going to school, most of his classmates were in their second year.

Jeff was presumably still hiding, listening to Rachael's words, and trying to be the ideal son that she desired when they all completed their common entrance examination.

Since they graduated from high school, Jeff had not attended any of their reunions. He might even have slipped some people's memories.

The location for the reunion was a place Jeff knew. He had been there before but it was some time ago.

Chris had dropped him at the entrance of the restaurant before saying, "Have fun with your friends, and stop being cold-faced all the time."

Before Jeff had a chance to respond, he drove off.

The reunion was scheduled at seven and Jeff got there thirty minutes past seven. He had on a pair of black pants and a black leather jacket.
