The Night of Reconciliation.

After we both left the square, Audrey took me to a small roadside caravan on a rundown street. This must have been a civilian area, because the snow on the road seemed to blend in with the mud, not as white as in other places. The houses were all very old-fashioned, and around the block were piles of crates or bags of uncovered pumpkins.

Outside of the brick houses, they had turned dark blue and had some cracks. The glass door is now opaque or broken, so it should be replaced with pieces of wood in the holes. As for the wooden house, there are pieces of broken pieces about the place of decay, so does the roof. Sometimes, I can even hear the creaking of the boards as the people in the house move.

The streets were also empty, no one went out when it was snowing more and more. Looming in the alleys there were the flickering lights of someone warming themselves, probably some homeless people, it was pitiful. On the street corners, there were only a few faint glimmers of oil lamps, not mag
