I Trust You

The police car pulled up at the station, and Christopher and Richard were escorted inside. The atmosphere was tense as they were led to an interrogation room. A stern-faced detective awaited them, armed with a folder containing photos and information that sent a chill down Christopher's spine.

"You two have some explaining to do," the detective said, his tone accusatory.

Christopher and Richard exchanged a glance, their resolve unwavering. "We were investigating the person responsible for the fires over at our construction sites on the other side of town. We had nothing to do with the fire at River's place," Christopher asserted, frustration evident in his voice.

The detective leaned back, studying them intently. "We have eyewitnesses who saw you enter the building, and anonymous tip with a time stamp matching your arrival. Care to explain that?"
