Little Lily

The peaceful evening at the Caruthers' home took an unexpected turn as a sudden loud noise echoed from the area where baby Lily slept. Christopher and Laura, exchanging worried glances, hastily made their way towards Lily's room.

Laura's heart raced as they approached, her protective instincts in full force. "What was that sound? Is Lily okay?" she asked, anxiety lacing her voice.

Christopher, quickening his pace, replied, "I'm not sure, but let's check on her right away."

As they entered Lily's room, they found her wide-eyed and startled, tiny fists clenched. The source of the disturbance became evident—a light bulb had burst, scattering glass fragments across the floor.

"Oh, sweetheart, it's okay. Mommy and Daddy are here," Laura cooed, scooping Lily up from the crib.

Christopher, assessing the situation, said, "It looks like the bulb just went off unexpectedly. Lily, you're safe now."
