Too Great.
The evening sun cast a warm glow through the dining room window that evening as Christopher and Laura sat down for dinner. The aroma of the home-cooked meal Melody had dropped off filled the air, creating a sense of normal amongst the dumpster fire that had been their lives for the last few months. As they shared a quiet moment, savoring the meal Laura had dished out and set into plates beside him, Christopher's hand suddenly went to his head.

A sharp pain shot through his temples, and for a moment, it felt like the world was spinning. Laura watched on in complete shock as his hands went up to cradle his head and he pushed away his meal, making to stand up.

As he managed to get to his feet, another ache rushed through his head, and he toppled to the floor, with Laura gasping. Even Lily stopped playing where she was and turned to look at her daddy, bursting into a wail.
