Memphis smirked and glanced at Ralph and Cathy. "How good is your acting?" he asked.

"Fairly good. I think I could pull it off," replied Cathy.

"Fairly good? I'm the master! This is going to be a piece of cake," Ralph boasted.

In the distance, their sharp eyesight could make out the village. They could see children at play, chasing balls and kites, mothers sitting in the open and gossiping, the earliest men coming from work and the perfect sunset to finish it off.

The trio exchanged smiles. "Time to put our plan into action," smiled Memphis.

Three women sat around on stools, probably done with work and exchanging juicy gossip. The eldest one among them leaned over and was sharing gossip with her friends.

"– and he's now got a kid to deal with! Poor Jonah, he took that fall bad-"

"Look yonder, who are those kids?" one of the women stopped the gossip's tirade and pointed at three kids who looked around wearily.
