Ugh... I'm sleepy. I studied magic runes all night. I couldn't sleep much because of it but thanks to it my arsenal of magic runes grew well. Aside from the water runes, I have ten runes now.
From these ten runes, four of them are those I previously studied. Float, rotate, shape and force. For the new ones I have; fall, exchange, coat, sharpness, durability, and attraction. From the new magic, runes Exchange was the hardest to learn.
The Exchange allows two different things to exchange their positions. It can be said to be some sort of teleportation. It requires injecting mana into the thing which will be used as a substitute beforehand. If I can study the whole process I might be able to learn Space Magic.
The fall is the exact opposite of the float. It makes things fall. The principle behind this is to apply gravity until the target hits the ground. Its usage is vague but if it's used correctly it is a deadly weapon. U
"I think, I'm cursed by the fairy of the water. Wherever I go, water drops drop to my hair.""Nah, it is just your imagination.""You think so?!"Jason said to me with his hair completely wet and sticking to his forehead."Yeah, I am hundred percent sure."It was me, Oscar! I went overboard and now Jason is afraid of some imaginary fairy. Maybe I should be nicer to him.The rest of the day was monotone, usual classes, mana string practice, and messing with Jason. Because of the tiny amount of mana I have, I can't practice much, yet. As time passes my Aether Organ grows and with it, my mana reserves will grow too. There is a separate building for the clubs in our school. It is a four-story building. Because our school care for students, it gave them permission to form their own clubs. Therefore there are a lot of clubs in this school. The first f
After we joined the club we talked for a while. We just chatted, nothing serious or important, just casual talk. I realized that moments like this bring comfort to my mind, I need them more in my life.I didn't realize how much I pushed my mind for these last two days, three if I count today too. I constantly think of a way the use mana better than before. Not just this, after the encounter with the trio that searching for mana stone I have been on edge.I am just a kid. I need more time to relax. Maybe I should do meditation from now on. Anyway, I am hopeful of this whole club thing. Just talking with them made me feel refreshed. After our little chat everyone left for home. Right now is early September so there is still some time before it gets dark. I'm planning to practice more about mana string tonight. I put water drop training on hold for now. Mana string is more useful to me for the moment. But I have to find a w
When I activated my eyes and look at her, we were both shocked.I could see mana in her eyes. It is faint but there. She has mana eyes, just like me! Well, maybe not like mine. There is no mana anywhere else on her body."...I-it is t-true. Your eyes are glowing!""Wait! Are you not aware of your eyes?""Huh? M-my e-eyes?"Yeah, she isn't aware of it."You have 'Mana Eyes' just like me.""My eyes aren't like yours... they aren't glowing..."It was a meager voice I wouldn't notice it if I didn't have the mana-enhanced hearing. Is she embarrassed to admit it?"I heard it, you know.""!"She blushed from her cheek to down her neck. I have to admit, she looks cute. She has shoulder-length blonde hair and green eyes. Her height is shorter than mine. Her face, with that blush, is dangerously pretty. But it is time to focus. Yeap, definitely not
After she drank it, we waited. The wait was unnerving. I don't remember ever being this nervous. I know that it won't hurt, aside from that I have no idea. Still, the possibility of it being dangerous was enough to make me nervous. This liquid mana is mysterious.I pushed her to drink it. It is not the most ethical thing but with this, I can trust her now. Trusting someone with a world-changing secret wasn't an easy matter. The existence of mana and magic is enough to create chaos that would change the world. And now that there are threats around the corner, I need an ally I can trust."I don't feel anything different. Was it supposed to do something?""I don't really know. Let me check it."Once again I activated my eyes. I can see the faint mana her body posses. It is a success, I guess? There isn't a construct like Aether Organ in her body. So it did cause another change in her body. I'm not sure about but her
(Agustin POV)Daxhoull. It was founded by Dax and Houll families over a hundred years ago. They have almost absolute control over the city. But in the last decade somehow they both lost their political power. Not all of it but they can't control everyone anymore.Since a year ago they are trying to take back their control over the city and its people. The information I managed the reach is somewhat weird. They were staying in line like the rest of the influential families. But last year someone died. Someone named Adrian Williams. Right after his death, they are trying to get back to the old days. There is almost no information about Adrian Williams. His only son is missing for over two years. His daughter-in-law and grandson are staying in Daxhoull. I thought that those families would target them but they are staying back, apparently. Even after his death, they can't escape from his shadow. Just who is this man?
I revealed the magic and give power to Lydia yesterday. I gained an ally aside from Kairi and Akane.I still need to go and explain what happened to Kairi tonight. I don't what she would think. But we need every help we can get. I'm sure she will understand. As usual, I prepared for school. It's been a week since I get this power. I can clearly see how my life is changing compared to before. It's a weird feeling."Mom, I'm leaving.""Take care!"Today I came across Jason on the way to school. Surprisingly he left his home early. Now that I think about it he was kind of depressed before we went to the club yesterday."Hey, I didn't ask you yesterday but... are you okay?"He seemed surprised by my sudden question. He looked at my face for a while and didn't say anything. But I can clearly feel he is depressed."I got friend-zoned."
"Huh? You are our senior?"When Oscar entered the clubroom this was the first thing he heard. Jason was staring at someone with eyes full of disbelief. She was someone with a petite body even shorter than most of the girls. With her pale silver hair and golden eyes, she looked like a doll. She was a charming girl even Oscar couldn't help but raise his eyebrows."Yes, I am Luna Edgar and I am a third-year student this year. Also the president of this club. Nice to meet you, everyone!"Jason's mouth was agape. Oscar was surprised too. Luna's face was too childish no one would believe that she is a third-year high school student. She was charming but her face still looked childish. Jason looked at Ted. His expression could tell what he thinks."Yes, she is a third-year student. She is a really good senior. I have been helped by her a lot."Ted nodded and told Jason. Jason's eyes spa
Right after the bell rang we left the school. It was four of us once again. When we arrived on my street I said goodbye and leave for home. The plan was simple. Go home, prepare some tools to use while training mainly mana crystals and liquid mana, then meet with her in the forest.I didn't tell her about the church yet. I do trust her but mana lake is a game-changer. I want to keep it secret as long as I can. Not just because I don't trust her. The main reason is it can give mana to anyone. I confirmed it with Lydia.I know she had mana in her eyes before but even if the lake gives mana only to the people like her, it is a huge risk I won't take.I arrived home and quickly went to my room. After changing my clothes I checked my mana battery reserves. It already dropped to half. I did give some to Lydia. And I spent more mana while practicing magic. I need to restock sometime soon.
