It turns out Daniel Cliffton wasn't playing around with what he said. He actually froze Liam's credit card so that Liam even had a hard time paying for the wine he had opened that he planned to enjoy with Nancy at the restaurant.

Luckily there was still cash left in Liam's wallet so he could pay.

"Sir, what about these gifts?" asked one of the restaurant waiters who was still holding the gift bag for Nancy.

At first Liam wanted to answer, just throw away all the gifts, he doesn't need them anymore. Or the servants could have it, whatever. The important thing is to keep all the gifts away from Liam.

However, Liam suddenly remembered the condition of his credit card, which was no longer useful. At least he could sell these items again and he could earn money—even if it wasn't much. Damn.
