The night was fading, and the first rays of sun were clearing the sky. Aniya looked at her right paw and thought while closing and opening it, staring at the dangerously pointy claws, "|… This body sure is weird. I feel stronger, faster, I can smell, hear and see things better. But these arms are so long! Not to mention my legs! I am taller now, and curvier than I ever was. If it wasn’t for all this white fur, and this long and big head, I would be so hot! ...|”

Nick smirked, "Says the pot to the kettle! It wasn't me checking you out while you were dressing, remember? As for adventures, I had one or two, nothing more. I had to run for my life, not much time to stop and go steady with a girl, you know?” Aniya faced the mirror again and took a small box of makeup from the top drawer of her vanity table and answered as she was putting on eyeliner, "I had more than you, then. I never had much luck with men ever since I was a teenager because they were all after my family’s money, and not me. So, I stopped searching for a relationship and indulged myself every time I felt like it.” Nick approached and hugged her from behind,

Seeing her assistant suddenly burst into tears, unable to hold any longer, Aniya went to her and sat on the chair at Anna’s side and held her hands, waiting for an answer. Anna slowly nodded and spoke after cleaning her tears and calming down, looking at her hands over her lap the entire time, "They went to my parents' house yesterday, asking all sorts of questions about me. They were two men and one woman, and they introduced themselves as Hunters. They didn’t explain anything more, and they didn’t need to, because my parents know very well that crazy group of despicable assassins. Years ago, a group came to my father’s house and took his mother with them. No one has seen her ever since.” Anna Kent slowly raised her eyes, and stuttered, "Y-you a-are one of them… Miss Aniya… am I…

After a quick lunch, Anna Kent opened the door of the meeting room, and Aniya entered, followed by Meredith Lion. Aniya sat at the top of the long table and greeted with a slight smile the three men already there, one older man with short grey hair, one middle-aged man with a dark blue suit, and another rather young man dressed in a grey suit that looked at the women arriving with a puzzled look. He was the one that seemed most interested in Aniya because, despite his glances at the other women, he couldn’t stop staring at her. Aniya noticed and while avoiding looking directly at him, she addressed the older man, “Good afternoon and thank you for coming here. I am Aniya Rossi, nice to meet y

When Aniya’s limousine stopped in front of Lisa’s mansion, she told Davis, her faithful driver and bodyguard, that he could go home because she was going to stay for the night. Anna Kent held the door for her, and Aniya noticed as she exited the limousine that Lisa McCarty was leaning over the window on Davis’s side, smiling at him, wearing a very loose top that let him take a good look at her cleavage. Surprisingly, he didn’t even glance at her, making Lisa twitch her left eye and disguise the anger in her voice. “Hello, Mister Davis. Do you want a drink or a cup of tea before leaving? I have a freshly made peach tea that I was enjoying in the back garden. You can keep me company while Aniya and her friends go greet my parents.”

Do come in. I have some drinks ready, and we can talk for a bit while I finish dinner.” As soon as Aniya crossed the door frame and as she was passing near the smiling Nick, she got a quick peck on her lips, which made Lisa snort. Aniya put her index over his lips and slowly shook her head, “Not possible. I am the unsuspected daughter and heir of a very long Hunter bloodline family. I have been training since I learned how to walk to fill my role in their organization, and I will do just that. I intend to learn everything I can about them so that when needed, we have the upper hand. They seem to have way too many resources and people working for them, considering the huge list of people suspected to be a Werewolf that my father showed me, and for a businesswoman like I am, that can’t happen. My rivals can’t know more about me than I know about them. I learned this with my mother, and this situation can be addressed as a business. A mortal one, but still a business, and I am very good when the matter is business.”

Aniya crossed her long and furry white arms over her chest, and her voice sounded cold in their heads, “|… Because I am a level-headed Luna, that’s why. I intend on gathering around us a huge group of Werewolves and for that, I need money to prepare our defences and enough food to last for weeks if we have to. After I find out everything I can about the Hunters, they will have a lot of problems if they ever come after us. ...|”Nick slowly nodded and answered as he finished cleaning and closing the last bag, “|… It seems your Werewolf nature might be affecting you because you used to be calmer. The way you sounded right now, it looked as if you wanted to kill them all. ...|”“|… Or it might be because I don’t want to lose you or any of my friends. If I have to rip the heads of some xenophobic Hunters, so be it. ...|”Nick spoke as he was going to the door, making Aniya shiver, “|… You forgot your parents are also in that group. I wonder what would happen if one of them was aiming at me
