While Frank McCarty was still pointing his shotgun at her, Lisa made a small growl and nodded, trying to smile with her big mouth full of teeth. Sharon rushed to the desk to grab the notebook and the pen, and carefully, she approached the bed, trying not to step on any pieces of flesh or pools of blood on the plastic cover. Lisa pointed with her head to her clawed and furry paws that were still dripping blood, and Frank arrived with a big towel that he used to clean his daughter’s paws, fingers, and claws. When she had clean paws, Lisa grabbed the notebook and, with an enormous effort for trying to grab such a small pen with her long claws in the way, Lisa wrote a message that she then showed to her parents.

*I am going to start updating every two days. I had a heated discussion with one of my characters, and she doesn't agree with me. While I want this story to go in one direction, Aniya wants something else. I need some time to get into a compromise with her because I am losing control of my story. I apologise for this.*
Davis grinned and whispered while signalling with his eyes to a table near the door that had a man seated there, and looking at the menu, “I hope that guy didn’t hear your outburst, dumbass. He was outside moments ago, with his face against the window and trying to look inside. He is probably from that group, and you almost shouted some juicy things. It won’t take him long to tell his Alpha about it. You better pray to die in that trap that you are organising with Miss Aniya, because if you survive, I am going to hurt you so much... Really, what the heck did Miss Aniya see in you? You are so stupid that it hurts!” Nick grinned back at him and stared directly into Davis’ eyes wh
In the morning, her parents were already at the dining table having lunch when Aniya arrived, yawning. She sat at the table and mumbled ‘good morning‘ while grabbing a piece of toast. Dan Rossi frowned and asked, “You didn’t sleep? You went to your room rather early.” “Yeah, but I was thinking about what happened yesterday, about my friend that is in that group, about what I have to do today… Too many things to worry about.”
While the others were whispering among themselves, the same man answered, “He did, but he also said that he couldn’t explain how he got that list, and that is kind of suspicious.” Aniya shrugged, “Well, it was me that got that list, but it’s better if I explain some things before because if I tell you right now how I got my hands on such a secret, you will panic.” “I can’t speak for the others, but I don’t panic that easily.”
The man in a grey dark suit took one step forward, unable to stop staring at Lisa, and he asked, “Miss Aniya… I think that if the general public knows about Werewolves living among them, they will panic, but maybe if they are told that Werewolves are not mindless beasts and they can keep their reasoning, they will accept that scary fact…” Aniya rolled her eyes, visibly annoyed. “Yes, because we all know what happens when different people walk down the street! No one looks at them, no one badmouths them behind their back, no one marginalises them. For the time being, or at least until we have a larger group, it is best to keep everything you saw here hidden. I also found out rec
Aniya frowned when she saw her assistant poking the man’s face to check if he was out or not and asked, “Since when did you have a taser in your purse, Anna?” “I have had this for years, Miss Aniya, but today was the first time I used it.” Two men got up after glancing at each other, and they reached for the holsters of their guns that they were carrying at their waists. Aniya took one gun from her purse and pointed it at one man, while Lisa was pointing her gun at the other. They stopped with the
Aniya got up and approached the man. She bent a little to sniff his head, and wondered, “For a moment, your question sounded kind of suspicious, but you smell like a Werewolf. You can’t tell that all of us have a similar smell?” “Well, I know everyone has… How do I say this… like a familiar smell? But until today, I never knew there were more people like me! I thought I was the only one cursed with this! It helps a lot in my line of work because I am stronger than my colleagues, and I can smell people inside a burning building, but… My parents never knew about anyone in our family that was like me!”
While Aniya was in her company talking with the big group that Anna Kent had invited, Nick was walking along a path in the woods with Adrian Gordon and three of his friends. The journey from the apartments to get there took them almost an hour, and while Adrian was talking with his friends during the voyage, Nick remained most of the time looking at the scenery and talking as little as he could. Not enough to disclose more than he wanted, but not too little to make the others suspect his silence. When Adrian turned left from the main road to a side str
Aniya gasped and assessed the situation with her usual quick thinking. Now everything made sense. The Hunters gathered such a huge list of suspects because they had not only spies everywhere, but they could also rely on a Werewolf working for them, someone that could sniff other Werewolves and serve as proof. She made a forced grin and said, “Internal Affairs special agents. Need to know basis, and you don’t need to know. What you need to tell me is why the Hunters let you join the first assault team, considering they are so against women doing fieldwork.” “Let’s just say I know someone in the High Council that took pity on me when my older brother suddenly changed into a mindl
