The Warning From Rowan

Who would have thought that Kane would learn how to fly in such a short amount of time. Kane was flying through the air, his hands against the side of his body, the winds whipping strongly against him.

Below him was cloud cover, striated clouds tinged with slight pink, rose and gold like the colors of a sunrise… He knew he was rushing, that hurrying somewhere was a matter of utmost importance right now, but he couldn’t remember why. He couldn’t recall what had happened.

As he looked ahead, he saw it. A column of dark storm clouds, twisting together to form a miles-high column. Even from this distance, he could see what appeared to be dark specks circling that storm cloud and, without a doubt, he knew a battle lay ahead.

At his side, he knew without knowing how he knew, four other forms had joined him in flight, keeping pace with him as he soared ahead. A mixture of different faces and different looks, at once, they were strangers to him and also his closest friends.
