Charles' voice was loud and clear, so it of course attracted the attention of others in the restaurant.

“Excuse me?” Meridith didn't stop touching the teddy.

“Take your filthy hands off it before I do it for you!” He thundered, his dark eyes fixated on her.

His dark eyes scared her and she didn't know when she took her hands off the teddy. She realized what she did and snuggled closer to Julius looking wronged.

Julius, on the other hand, had begun panicking thinking it was the real owner of the gifts. However, when his eyes settled on Charles' cheap clothes, he sneered.

“Did you just raise your voice at my fiancée? I see you're tired of leaving!”

Charles’ cold eyes shifted to him. “You're the one who's tired of living!”
