Chapter 109: Revealing Shadows

The tranquillity that surrounded Eldoria now was only a testament of the effort put in by the champions. That, however did not dismiss the depth of distress flowing in the atmosphere. Recent perturbations in the northern corners and the encounter with dark shapes hinted at something more sinister hidden from usual sight. Eldoria's protectors knew they could not simply rest on their laurels.

The council reconvened for deliberation on the way forward. It was Elder Elowen, exemplary as always for his reason and insight, who stood to speak. "We have learned now that the threats to Eldoria are not always so clear. The shadows that would upset our world can sometimes be found in the most unassuming of places. We need to be mindful and proactive."

Ariadne, Seraphina, and Captain Leander nodded in understanding. The trials through which they had recently passed had taught them that vigilance was a constant thing and that hidden threats needed to be uncovered before they could bloom.
