Chapter 34: The Unveiling

The capital lay in the soft glow of twilight, the skies streaked orange and pink. Rebuilding sounds filled the air as life slowly returned to the pulse of normalcy after recent battles. Within palace walls, however, it was quiet determination that reigned. Queen Ariadne and companions knew their journey had hardly begun.

In the weeks since returning from the mountain fortress, Ariadne had really been focusing on trying to decipher the scroll taken from the Sanctuary of the Sentinels. Thalia had spent many hours poring over the ancient text, translating its cryptic symbols and unmasking its secrets. The scroll revealed other relics, each hidden in places of great power and protected by guardians the like of which she had never known existed.

One evening, the moon casting its silver glow over the palace, Thalia burst into the library where Ariadne and Seraphina were studying maps of the realm. "I found it," she said, her eyes shining with excitement.
