072 - I'm Not One of Them

It sounds like someone is trying to tell a fabricated story to show off. But right now, he sees Alex is not someone who is bluffing. He finds his face looks a bit gloomy, like someone who is really reminiscing about the dark past he has.

“So, you already knew how to fight since you were a kid?” utters Boris rhetorically. “I always thought that you learned everything from Morgan Davis.”

Alex then takes out one of his karambits, and continues reminiscing for a few more moments before telling his story.

“My dad already taught me silat even before that incident. Not the one you often see on youtube, but the ancient one. This one is not for self defense, but to kill with this tiny weapon. But still, they were too much for a kid to handle.”

“Hold on!” Boris halts for a moment. “If you got the chance to fight back, doesn’t that mean you saw their faces? With your strong photographic memory, couldn't you recognize them if you happen to see them somewhere?”
