135 - The Mark

Those five chairs are all occupied by four old men and one middle aged man. They are The Overseers that Morgan Davis told before.

And of course, Morgan Davis is also amongst them. And the rest, as they turn their faces toward Alex, it stuns Alex as he finds their faces are not too foreign to him.

All of them are actually important figures who hold some positions in the state. There’s the judge who previously tried his case with the rookie Melvin a while ago, Freddie Barker.

Sitting on the far right, there’s the previous governor of NSW who is said to have retired from politics, Remy Fulton. There’s also a member of parliament, Dariel Stewart sitting beside him.

All of them are already quite old, with grey hairs and weak faces. But their gazes clearly show that they are not the kind of people you can take lightly.

And then, the youngest one of them, sitting in the middle, a 46 years old middle-aged man, who is none other than the current Mayor of Sydney, Reece Thompson.
