Unleash The Power.

In these memories, Claude saw a horde of bizarre creatures, ugly and ferocious, like a swarm of bugs emerging from the earth, invading towns, killing people, setting fires, raping, committing every imaginable atrocity. Until a group of white-clad soldiers appeared, wielding various forces, magical powers, and spells, easily wiping out the ugly creatures, leaving no trace behind. The surviving people worshipped them as gods.

As time passed, humans were born, aged, and died, in an endless cycle, continuous and unbroken. Only the gods worshipped by humans remained ageless, without sickness or ailment, their youth unchanged for ten thousand years. Seeing such a sight, many curious people approached the gods, asking them to teach magic, to grant them power, for eternal life like theirs. Initially, the gods refused, sending those seekers away. But gradually, the pleading of humans softened the hearts of some gods, who then bestowed a bit of their strength and personally taught them some magic for self-defense.

Over time, humans became increasingly powerful. Some, with the magic and divine powers bestowed by the gods, found their own paths, established sects, and ushered in a new era. However, mere status and power could not satisfy human greed. Human influence expanded, even encroaching upon the dwellings of gods. The gods seemed to ignore everything, allowing humans to flourish. Until one day, humans believed the gods were not as powerful as they had imagined, wanting independence, to leave the protection of the gods, to drive the gods back to their homeland.

This time, numerous deities felt immensely angered. One of the gods, in a fit of rage, killed "the traitors." After the death of "the traitors." humans also began to rise up, demanding the gods hand over "the fallen god." Naturally, the gods flatly refused. And ultimately, the war between humans and gods began.

Humans, utilizing the strength and magic bestowed upon them by the gods, turned these gifts against them. The gods had not anticipated that humans could become so powerful. Thus, the war was fiercely fought and lasted for several decades, with countless gods falling, and humans dying tragically. A mountain was leveled, a fortress destroyed. All these images seemed to unfold before one's eyes. Claude felt his head was about to explode.

At that moment, an image of a grey eye appeared in Claude's mind. Although the eye was tightly closed, the divine light surrounding it seemed to radiate across the entire universe. The eye opened slightly, and everything within ten thousand miles turned to dust. Its power was enough to terrify humanity.

"Ding, congratulations to the owner for acquiring the divine skill Celestial Perception!"

Just as Claude was dumbfounded, not knowing what had happened, the system's voice rang out.

"Ah!"

Claude felt an intense pain on his forehead, unable to do anything but hold it and cry out. Mortimer, who was not far away, was slightly startled and quickly turned to ask: "What's wrong with you?"

"My forehead is burning!"

Tiffany, seeing this, couldn't help but stop. However, Claude's pain came quickly and left just as fast. He touched his forehead, which only slightly bulged as if something was about to emerge. But after feeling around, everything seemed to return to normal, with no third eye emerging as Claude had imagined. At this point, Claude finally felt relieved, dusting off his clothes and cheerily saying to Tiffany: "It's all good now!"

"Hmph!" She couldn't help but snort coldly at his appearance and continued to walk away.

"Hey, brother-in-law! You don't have to pretend so much that it looks real! You made me think you were about to die!" Mortimer clapped Claude on the shoulder, expressing his displeasure.

"Ow, it's you who's about to die!" Claude cursed inwardly, but outwardly he grimaced and said: "Big brother, I didn't mean to!"

"Alright, enough, I don't want to talk much with you anymore, let's hurry home! I'm starving here!" Mortimer was a bit hurried, chasing after Tiffany. Claude could only shrug helplessly and follow behind.

However, not long after they set off, they saw Tiffany up ahead, struggling with a middle-aged man, looking very angry.

"Look here, Miss, you've broken my family heirloom like this, you should at least compensate me! How can you just walk away like that!" The middle-aged man held a piece of jade pendant, now broken into several pieces, and incessantly demanded money from Tiffany.

"I said I won't pay, and I won't pay. You dropped and broke it yourself, why should I compensate you?" Tiffany was blocked by this man, who was adamant about not letting her go, making her look extremely annoyed and raising her voice.

Soon, passersby started to gather around to watch, curiously looking at the two.

"Miss, you need to be reasonable! This is the treasure my grandfather left for me, how could I break it myself! It's ridiculous, you broke it, so you should pay me!" The middle-aged man was unyielding, immediately shouting back, his face turning red with anger.

Some onlookers felt the man's argument seemed reasonable and started pointing at Tiffany, accusing her.

"That's right, that's right! It's their family treasure, who would break their own heirloom!"

"From what I see, this item has some value, definitely not something to be discarded. The Miss should really pay him!"

"..."

"I said no means no! Believe it or not, that's up to you!" Having been provoked by Claude all day, and now facing this situation, Tiffany could no longer hold back, immediately pushing the middle-aged man aside, angrily storming off.

But who knew, the man's reaction was extremely quick, and before she could push him down, he had already thrown himself to the ground, spitting out a mouthful of blood, and loudly exclaiming: "Ah, someone is trying to kill me!"

"You... you..." Tiffany was utterly dumbfounded, unable to believe someone could be so shameless. If not for the crowd, she would have rushed forward to give this scoundrel a beating.

Quickly, the crowd began to encircle her, with three or four people getting particularly agitated, starting to loudly curse.

"Murder, there's been a murder! Everyone catch her, don't let her escape!"

"That's right, that's right! There's no sense in breaking things and hitting people like that! Quick, catch this woman!"

"..."

The noise became increasingly tumultuous, with everyone appearing extremely agitated, continuously pointing fingers at Tiffany. Tiffany felt incredibly wronged, clearly she hadn't done anything from the start to the end, the middle-aged man was deliberately framing her, and even dared to blame her. She was truly aggrieved.

"What's going on?" Just then, Mortimer finally arrived, spreading his arms to push the crowd aside and approached Tiffany to ask.

"Big brother, it was him, he deliberately caused trouble!" Tiffany saw Mortimer coming, clenched her fists, grinding her teeth, and pointed at the middle-aged man lying motionless on the ground.

"Ding, the system has announced a new quest, would the master like to open it?"

While Mortimer and his brother were still talking, Claude suddenly heard the system's reminder sound in his head.

"Open!" Without any hesitation, Claude immediately opened the system notification.

"System announcement: The quest to vindicate Tiffany has been activated, assist Tiffany in clearing her name, and drive away the scoundrels! Upon completing the quest, receive 500 experience points and 20 favorability points."

Seeing the system's quest, Claude's eyebrows couldn't help but furrow.

"This lady really is trouble!" Claude muttered to himself and quickly walked over to Tiffany's side.

"What... what did you say? You... you all quickly pay me back..."

Claude had just arrived when he saw a middle-aged man lying on the ground, his hands trembling, pointing at Tiffany and her brother, speaking.

"Damn it, this damn guy, clearly you're the one who caused trouble, yet you dare ask my sister to compensate, do you want to die?" Mortimer, who is very hot-tempered, had heard Tiffany's account and, hearing the middle-aged man speak, wanted to rush over and hit him.

"Ah, look everyone, look, they clearly damaged my goods, injured me, and now not only do they refuse to compensate, but they are also being aggressive! Ah, cough cough, my God, oh heavens, someone come look! Where is the justice, heavens?"

The middle-aged man immediately coughed a few times, then kept banging his hands on the ground, crying out repeatedly.

If Claude hadn't heard the system's announcement, he might have really believed the man's words. And the surrounding crowd couldn't discern the truth from the lies. Some people began to criticize Tiffany and her brother vocally.

"This is outrageous, truly outrageous! Folks, we can't just stand by and watch this happen! Quick, we need to catch these two and make sure they compensate the old brother!"

"Right, right, they must be made to pay! This can't be easily let go!"

Once someone spoke up, others supported. Seeing this, Mortimer's mouth twitched.

"Damn, these people want to revolt?"

The crowd rushed forward, and some began to make moves towards Tiffany. Tiffany's eyes flashed sharply, and she shouted: "Scram!"

At that moment, Tiffany truly lost her temper. She grabbed the hand reaching towards her, clenched it, and without a warning, flung the person next to her away.

"Damn, she's really hitting people, she's really hitting people!"

The person who acted was one of those inciting the crowd, he hadn't anticipated Tiffany, slim and delicate, to be so strong, just a grab and he was thrown. And the surrounding people, mostly cultivators, once the fight broke out, revealed a very aggressive aura.

"Damn, get lost for me!" Mortimer, standing to one side, was not to be outdone, grabbed a person, spun them around, then threw them out.

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

The continuous sound of bodies hitting the ground made Claude, standing to one side, feel incredibly frustrated.

"Crazy, this is really crazy! How am I supposed to complete the quest like this?"

"Stop! Stop it right now!"
