Ningsih's Story

The empty house in Dusun Sentani is one of the houses that is feared by the residents of the hamlet because the stories circulating are always scary about this uninhabited house. However, the unique thing is that there are still inhabited houses near this empty house which are still neatly maintained.

This house is the only inhabited house near the end of the hamlet because apart from an empty house which is known to be haunted, there are no other neighbors around the house. Maybe it's also because of the horror of the story of this empty house that the residents of this hamlet don't dare to live around it and choose to live near the center of the hamlet so that it's safer from disturbances of spiritual matters.

It turns out that this big house is only inhabited by one person, a middle-aged woman named Ningsih who is also a native of this hamlet. The house he lives in is also a legacy from his predecessor, which he has repaired into a bigger and stronger house. Only these 2 houses are made of strong concrete, in stark contrast to the people's houses which are only made of wood. After her husband died, Ningsih lived alone in this house. Her children were never seen visiting her either.

We don't know what family conflicts accompanied their lives in the past, so that in her old age, Ningsih has to live alone in this hamlet. For decades, Ningsih has heard stories circulating about the empty house next door, but she has not found the truth in the scary stories that are being circulated by word of mouth. that mouth. During her stay at her house she was never disturbed by voices or sightings which she said came from the empty house next door.

Everything was normal until the last few days Ningsih often heard conversations at night coming from this empty house. Is this empty house already occupied? That's what Ningsih thought, who then ventured out to look at this empty, pitch-dark house. But the voices she heard then disappeared. Only the sounds of the night wind and night animals could be heard enlivening the silence of the night at the end of this hamlet. Ningsih, who then returned to her house, again heard the voices of several people's conversations which she was sure came from an empty house. The voices that originally sounded like people talking turned into sighs that were almost like whispers. It was this sound that really disturbed Ningsih.

This woman was trying to ignore these voices that she was afraid were only in her mind. It couldn't be that empty, uninhabited house that was making these noises. The longer this sound made her head hurt and she felt depressed. Ningsih then reported this incident to the hamlet head who immediately took her report seriously.

This woman is worried that someone is making these noises to make her feel uncomfortable and leave the house left by her late husband. It is not impossible for Ningsih to think like that. Since 2 weeks ago before he first heard these strange sounds, there have been offers from businessmen outside the area who are very interested in buying his residence. Even though they have been rejected many times, they still come to try to persuade her, so Ningsih finally throws them out with great anger. Only in this house did she feel safe in the presence of her late husband, so she chose to stay in her current home. She also did not know the intention of this businessman wanted to buy this house. Maybe it was a stopover when they went to the forest at the end of the house to perform a wealth ritual or there was something special that Ningsih didn't know about this house that made the businessman interested in buying it.

Some residents who dared offered to enter this empty house with the permission of the hamlet head to find the recording or audio posted in this empty house that lights up at night which is suspected of disturbing Ningsih's peace. But they found no signs of anyone entering this empty house because the floor was very dusty and there were no footprints in the house.

The residents of Dusun Sentani gradually forgot about Ningsih's problem because they thought that maybe this woman was experiencing hallucinations because she missed her. with her late husband. Until one morning a villager found a woman whose position was hanging from the big tree of this empty house.

After the people of the hamlet let her down, it turned out that the swaying figure was Ningsih, a woman they once thought was having hallucinations. The head of the hamlet immediately suggested covering Ningsih's face with a cloth because her face looked a bit hideous with bulging eyes as if she saw something very scary. herself before her death took her. This incident then shocked the quiet Sentani Hamlet. Since that incident, many villagers have claimed to have seen Ningsih's ghost hanging around the empty house. Sometimes they also see her at the house where Ningsih used to live.

Stories circulating by word of mouth make this empty house even more terrifying for the hamlet residents, especially now that the house next door is also uninhabited. The streets around this empty house become dark and very scary when night falls. Not a single resident of this hamlet dares to pass through this empty house either during the day or at night.
