Dwayne narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing the bearded young man dressed in ordinary clothes. His gaze was sharp, and there was an air of confidence about him, but mostly, he seemed harmless. Why was Mark Cooper so intent on killing a commoner?

“What did he do to deserve to die?”
