Chap. 17 Mr. Soriano

Both were pushed into different rooms for immediate surgery. The operation process takes half a day. The surgical team was able to save both of their lives. Both arrived on time at the hospital. Their lives would have been lost if a few minutes were too late.

"Since then, we've become close, but I only think of her as a good friend, nothing more."

"But she seems to really like you; from the look in her eyes, I can see it." Magdalena protested.

"I can't stop someone from liking me. We can't control other people's hearts, can we?" Jonathan took a tissue and wiped his lips.

"What's wrong?" Jonathan frowned upon seeing Magdalena's still, gloomy face.

"Looks like she fits you better than I do," murmured Magdalene.

Jonathan paused and then looked at the girl looking down in front of him. Today Magdalena seems to be testing his patience.

"We're engaged, Lena. Remember that."

"You agreed because my father forced you."

"Magdalena Morris, I agree because my heart chooses you. Have you forgotten
