Chap. 7 Jonathan's Real Face

"You …." Esteban raised his hand.

"Yes, it's me, Jonathan Smith." Jonathan still hasn't changed his sitting position. Dressed in an expensive suit that was still neat and crossed his legs. His right hand has a cigarette tucked into his middle finger.

"Feel cold, huh?" Jonathan asked casually and then looked at the bunch of traitors with a sharp gaze.

"What the hell, Jonathan!" shouted Esteban.

"Mr. Smith, call my full name, Mr. Jonathan Smith," Jonathan confirmed.

"What do you mean, bringing us here naked!" Esteban rebuked fiercely while holding back the cold that had pierced his skin for a long time.

"Adam," Jonathan called out, stretching out one right hand.

Adam took an iron whip and handed it to Jonathan.

"Tell me, what is the purpose of you guys trapping the chief production manager at the west city branch office?"

"What do you mean?" asked Esteban.

Jonathan waved his whip in the air, the sound of the flexing object snapping making Esteban and his gang shudder in horror.

"Call me by name, Mr. Smith!" said Jonathan.

"W-what do you mean, Mr. Smith? By all this?"

"Don't pretend; I already know you are doing corruption with these people." Jonathan lashed a chair with a whip, sending it bouncing off the wall and splitting in two.

All eyes stared at the chair with a look of fear. Jonathan easily intimidated them with a single bluff.

"Master, my goodness, not me." Esteban crawled and grabbed Jonathan's leg, begging for mercy. "Manager Stone did it; the proof is that he can afford a new, limited edition car. His salary alone can't be used as a down payment, that luxury car." Esteban lies and wants to twist the facts.

"You think I'm stupid, huh!" Jonathan whipped Esteban's body with half his strength. He didn't do it on purpose. The man was sure that if he put all his power into it, Esteban would faint, and the interrogation would take a long time.

"Have mercy, sir," Esteban screamed, feeling the pain in his back. The heat and pain made him almost faint.

"Listen, all of you. Don't forget, I didn't get into this position easily. There's a process that requires me to bleed. You think I'd be so stupid, being fooled by your cheap tricks? DREAM ON!" snorted Jonathan.

"Scattering, manager Stone and hiding your depravity? Fool! I'm not that stupid!" Jonathan walked around Esteban and his six companions.

"Corrupt a fantastic amount of money and pass the blame on an old man known to be the most loyal and diligent in this company? Hahaha ... you are tantamount to suicide. Just so you know, Santos's manager's children's education costs, I am the one who financed it all this time. And the price of the car you're citing as evidence of corruption." Jonathan smirks, then bends the whip in his hand, which frightens Esteban and the others.

"Adam," Jonathan called.

Adam took a paper and threw it in Esteban's face. "You bought it, Mr. da Silva. Using your brother-in-law's name, the car was registered. But one month ago, the manager of Santos received it from you, after your people framed him in a car accident. You pretended to want to make amends. by replacing his badly damaged car with an expensive car. The innocent manager of Santos doesn't know how much it costs. He followed your advice to reverse the name of the car certificate in his name." Adam explained.

"It's a dirty game that even a child can know how to play easily." Jonathan pouted.

"I already know how you are doing, Mr. da Silva. But suddenly, removing you from the Smith Corporation will cause chaos in the company. I can easily rid my company of rats like you with this case without making any noise."

"Jonathan, you..." Esteban widened his eyes; he was foolish for being caught in the trap of the owner of the Smith Corporation. He should have realized that the lack of supervision in the finance department in the western city branch was a trap set by Jonathan to catch crooks.

"You forgot who I am? I have lived in the underworld for years; even their masters bow to me." Jonathan smiled sarcastically. "A small matter like this, I can solve with the snap of one of my fingers."
