Mr. Andrew had visited Mr. Moe over the weekend for a meeting. The meeting took a lot of time, as they had a lot to discuss about their business and all.

Mr. Andrew had in mind to ask his friend, Mr. Moe, about the latest update about Jack, but then that would have to be after the meeting.

They were far gone with the meeting, almost concluding it, when Mr. Moe’s phone rang.

“Hello, Liam,” Mr. Moe replied the moment he picked up his phone from the table right in front of him, connected the call, and placed it in his ear. “I hope you are progressing.”

“There is something I discovered,” Liam, the caller, reported.

Liam is the financial analyst who has done so much underground work for Mr. Moe over the years.

“What is that? I hope it is good news,” Mr. Moe questioned, seemingly happy.

“I am sorry, but it is not a good one.”

Looking all angry, “What could that be then? Just go straight to the point,” Mr. Moe barked, his voice tone evident of how pissed he already was.

The reception area of Joe Enterprises buzzed with unsettling noises. The usual sounds of phone calls, hushed conversations, and keyboard clicks had been replaced by a tense and oppressive silence. Two figures, dressed in the official garb of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), stood stoically in the center of the hall, with their expressions a mix of determination and suspicion.Across from them was Mr. Moe’s secretary, Lisa, and her face was pale and drawn. Fear gnawed at Lisa, a young woman with wide, worried eyes. Mr. Joe wasn't known for his patience, and unannounced visitors, especially of this official nature, are likely to be a problem for her.Hesitantly, Lisa stepped forward, her voice barely a whisper. “Can I, uh, help you, gentlemen?” She stammered, her hand instinctively reaching for the golden nameplate on her desk. The lead investigator, a man with a steely glint in his eyes and a no-nonsense demeanor, cleared his throat. “We're here to see Mr. Joe,” he declar

Just within a brief moment, Blade had gathered additional evidence, thanks to Mark, the former accountant who had been forced out of Joe Enterprises some time ago. Mark's detailed records and the knowledge corroborated by the anonymous documents provided a watertight case against Mr. Joe. For some reason, Blade can't extend it to Mr. Moe in the meantime. The journalist that Blade contacted was impressed by the strength of their evidence and was working on a follow-up exposé—a profound look into Mr. Joe's financial manipulations. The story gives every indication of being explosive, further exposing Mr. Joe's web of deceit and potentially leading to criminal charges. As hours turned into days, the pressure on Mr. Joe intensified. The SEC investigation continued, with their inquiries becoming more pointed and their critical observations more intense. The once-confident swagger with which Mr. Joe had navigated the business world was replaced by a nervous twitch, which, it is safe to say,

Jack's breath hitched at a go. Lord Rock, his late grandfather, had left everything just under his name: his mansion, the Agron Incorporation, and other assets. So, the thought of sharing his inheritance—the life he had already adjusted to—was a bitter pill for him to swallow. But to look at it from one angle, the man in question seems to be almost his age or he should be between a year to 5 years older than Jack. How come the man said he is a son to his grandpa, could it be that he is the same age or a bit younger to his step uncle.Blade, with a lost expression written all over his face just like Jasmine, narrowed his eyes, finding it difficult to comprehend what was about to happen. He only managed to step closer to Jack, her hand instinctively resting on his shoulder in silent support. The air in the space grew thick with tension.Still on it, Alexander withdrew a single document from the bag and placed it before Jack. “See for yourself,” he said, a triumphant glint in his eyes.J

After a little deep thought, Jack contacted the gatekeeper to ask Alexander to come back. The gatekeeper did that immediately when Alexander was about to get in his car to drive off, so he had to return to Jack.As soon as he did, Jack said to him instantly when he got to where he was, “You said that your name is Alexander, right?”“Yes, I did,” he replied, nodding his head. “Alexander Rock.”“Ok, that's fine. Can I have the documents and pictures, if you don't mind?” Jack requested.“For the documents, I don't mind, but for the pictures, I do mind because they're a big possession to me. That is the only picture of my late dad I possess.”“It's fine; can I have the documents then?”“Why not? I have the photocopy of it, so I will give you that and go with the original copy,” Alexander said. He placed the bag right on the table, brought out the file, and pulled a single document, which is the photocopy he said he would give to Jack.Jack collected it and said, “Thank you. I will keep in

Barrister Harry is the one whom the late Lord Rock entrusted his will to as the executor. He is a man in his late 50s, or, let's say, about 60 years old. His father used to work for the late Lord Rock as his personal lawyer before he passed on, and then Barrister Harry, who is also a legal practitioner, picked up from there.Barrister Harry had come earlier on that day to see Jack after Jasmine contacted him and told him that his attention was urgently needed at Jack’s house. By that time, Jasmine had gone to her place as she had some things to attend to.After being asked some questions, Barrister Harry confirmed that what Alexander had said was true. Blade asked him to go and bring the document that backed up what he just confessed to be true.He eventually left and, in no time, returned to Jack’s place with a file containing some documents right in a briefcase. The documents were stamped and signed with the signature of the late Lord Rock.Barrister Harry presented the papers to Ja

As soon as the lawyer left, Blade sent out a message to one of his agents: “Track the car that just left here now, just the way you did for the other that left earlier on. Make sure you do it covertly so that you won't be noticed. I want to know his whereabouts in the next 24 hours. Again, double the security we have in this vicinity. I am sure someone, somewhere, is secretly playing an expensive hard trick on the young master.”At almost the same time, the person responded to Blade’s message.“On it, the gate just opened, and the person is about to drive out. But this looks like Barrister Harry’s car, or is it some other person?”“Yes, he is the one. Just track him, like I said, and get back to me. You don't need to respond to this; just go on and do that. We will talk later.”At that time, Alexander had left Jack’s premises; he was unknowingly tracked by the same guy.Initially, Alexander had gone back to the hotel where he lodged. Then, while the agent was still keeping tabs on him

“You mean he had already accepted the will, and now you have prepared the papers so he could sign?” Mr. Moe asked Barrister Harry with so much enthusiasm.Barrister Harry and Alexander were at Mr. Moe’s place, as demanded by the latter. When they had explained to him over the phone how they had carried out the plan perfectly, his joy knew no bounds, and he had to invite them over so he could hear them say it to his face. He also invited Mr. Andrew over to hear the good news as well.“Yes, he only needs to sign it, and the same with Alexander. That is the only thing that is left.”“Whop!” Mr. Moe said as he used the balled knuckles of his right hand to hit against his left palm in joy. “That's fabulous. I am so happy about this right now. Now, let's see how he is going to escape this. You two did a perfect job, even beyond what I expected; no one could have done it better. For this to go this well, you must have played your part a hundred percent. I commend you two greatly.” He proceed

With an exhausted breath, “Where have you been all my life?” Mrs. Nelly complimented.“No wonder your body is well-built. Thank God I had to reconcile with my husband; if not, this is what I would have missed out on,” she goes on to express how she enjoys every bit of making out with Mr. Andrew. With a lavish smile on Mr. Andrew’s face, he said, “Maybe you guys connected back so that we would both have a good taste for each other. You are too sweet; I have to say this.”The both of them had already planned it out beforehand to meet at Nelly’s place. That was why they left almost at the same time. That was their second meeting already and all took Mr Moe unaware. They were both secretly crushing on each other and they decided to give themselves a chance.Although Nelly made the first move as she stole Mr Andrew's phone contact from her husband's phone.“Please, I need to state something clear. As much as we enjoy each other, we need to keep this, as much as we can, to ourselves. I would

Someone is here to see you, and she said her name is Nancy."With raised, angry-looking brows, Jack turned and said to the housekeeper, “Tell her to leave at once and never to step foot here.” Looking so bitter, like he just heard terrible news, he added inwardly, “I wonder who showed her the way to my house.”Jasmine tapped him gently on his lap. “Darling, that was a bit harsh. Please hear her out first.”“There is nothing wr

“Jack.” The words got choked in his throat. Everyone in the city knew about the latest Jack Ford. The once-hidden CEO of Agron Incorporation had decided to pipe down all this time.He knew that if it's true, then the person right before him held immense power, more than even the president of the state, and the incorporation thrived powerfully. But then Mark couldn't believe what he heard. With a smirk, he said, “You think you can fool me, right?”“Believe it or doubt it at your own risk.’ but their business thrived. Then the realization that it should be true hit Mark: was he the same person he heard had decided to keep a low profile along?Mark fell on his face immediately at Jack's feet. “Please, I beg you, spare them. Please,” he pleaded, and Jack stood up, as it was obvious he was unmoved by his gesture. He knew he couldn't fall so cheap as he was sure that Mark was only being a cheap hypocrite, he thought as he walked to the west side of the room, examining the view properly.“D

Just then, the captain's phone rang, interrupting his thoughts. He looked down at his pants, where his phone was, and then immediately went back to Jack.“I will advise you to pick up that call; you might be saving a life.
